From purchase my motor infrequently starts to loose power the assistance gets weaker and sometimes it's completely gone.
It has nothing to do with overheating because it never happens during a steep scent when there is power on the drivetrain but mostly in situations we're I just switched on...
For me it depends on the trail and speed. It isn't an issue on smooth trails but if I ride fast into big roots or braking bumps it gets really annoying and just sounds like 2010 without a derallieur damping thingy.
But it can also be different due to the design of the suspension in terms of...
Is this the freehub engaging noise we're talking about here?

Hard to say but in this german form a guy went to a shop and all shimano-bikes produced the noise:

The thing is that you won't get this noise when you ride mellow trails. It only get's noticeable if you ride fast over rough...
Did the noise dissappear after you got the bike back? I heard that this noise is normal and comes from the freehub inside the motor but it's really annoying on bumpy trails. To reproduce it you have to push the bike forward while rocking the crank back and forth a little...
But even if you can mechanically connect the new battery with the e8000 wouldn't the firmware don't recognize it? And even if some guy like vadl can make a workaround it's still not really convenient to mounta different mount every time you want to use a different capacity battery...
Also if...
Here most of the components seem to be blacked put but you can read one or two things if you click on the pics and chose high res:

Because of weight and cost. Sure you could put enough cells in there for 700Wh and let users only use 400 of them but what's the point? It would cost the manufacturer more money, add weight only for longer battery life? Shimanos bms could be more conservative but it could also mean that the...
Boost means your emptying the battery faster and the number one thing that makes a battery age is when it sits around completely empty. If you do Boost-runs ideally you wouldn't drain them to the last drop every ride especially if you have two batteries and don't need their capacity at once. I...
Don't think that derestriction has that big of an effect. Steep uphills with poor traction are what strains on the battery the most and there it's difficult to reach more than 25 km/h anyway.
Really strange. How are you handling your batteries? Charging them up to 100% the night before is not...
1) # of charging cycles 17
2) remaining capacity 100%
3) I use E6000 charger exclusively
4) Battery BT-E8010 504wh
6) 12 months old / ~ 900 miles
I store the battery between 15-20 degrees celcius in a dark chamber and try to only charge it to 100% when I need it and then only right before I...
When I ride fast over rougher trails with roots an chatter I get this annoying clunking noise which sounds like chain slap but it's the freewheel of the shimano motor. I can provoke it when I move the bike slowly forward and move the cranks a tiny bit back and fourth with my hand.
Does every...
