    Your only bet is for a Bosch dealer to sell you everything needed. They will need to use a dealer service tool to reprogram the system controller. There is no way to buy a Bosch smart system drive unit from an online seller.

    you will not be able to mount a gen 5. But if you have a dealer willing to sell it to you. You could go to a gen 4 cx with the smart system. Using a newer purion and smart system battery. You will spend close to 3000usd and that’s if you can even find someone to sell you a drive unit.

    Orbea Wild 625 battery range - impressive.

    I’m 220lb. 2024 orbea wild/Alloy frame. 625wh. Turbo or EMTB only. I get similar range to my 2023 canyon torque: on cf8 with ep8. 720wh battery. Bosch is so better in every way IMO. ( I haven’t ridden the ep801 with current software updates*)
