Hi Rob
I have only just seen your post, but I also live in Alfreton, on Nottingham Rd opposite the petrol station. Where are you?
I have had a Trek Rail 5 since March 21
Dave
Does anyone fancy a ride this Saturday 22nd around the Chatsworth area starting from Rowsley?
Free car parking;)
I have an 18 mile route taking in varied terrain.
Thank Steve for a great ride, well the half of it that I managed.
Perhaps falling off 6 weeks after I fractured my collar bone was not the best idea
I am all for being shown around, starting with some of the easier routes:). I have been to Black rocks many times (walking dogs, not MTB though)
Unfortunately I cant make tomorrow as I am away for the weekend and recovering from a fractured collarbone:(
I will message you to arrange some other...
Steve took me around some of the route on Friday and even though I wasn't fully fit there was nothing overly difficult, but it is imperative to keep concentration.
Count me in :)
Having been shown and ridden some of the route yesterday I can concur with Steve that it may not be suitable unless you're confident and competent on all of the red trail and the downhills.
Although they are called 'mountain' bikes surely it is all about having fun and not how many mountains you can climb ;) and we certainly had fun yesterday :)
Thanks Steve for a fantastic day out with a great bunch of people :)
I dont think I will be able to find any of those off piste trails again on my own so when is the next one?
