I’ve had the Emtb Lite upgrade done on my 2021 Rail 7 and love it. I’d like to get it done on my sons 2018 PF7 with the older Bosch motor, does anyone know if it can be done?

No. EMTB lite is a software update that replaces the std tour mode with a variable assistance mode. Very similar to the emtb mode but not as powerful.

I have the EMTB lite on my 2021 Rail 7 and love it. Is it possible to update the firmware on the earlier pre-Gen 4 motors to EMTB Lite. I’d like to get it done on my sons 2017 PF7?

I’m 6’4” & 260lbs and love my 2021 Rail 7 XL. Can’t comment on the Spesh, never ridden one. You’ve got to try and ride both before you splash the cash. I’ve always had Trek bikes although I did have a brief foray on a Scott E-Aspect, that was a good bike and hit me hooked on emtb’s.
