What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

I'd be in agreement with Gary on the low tire pressure possibly causing tearing if the sidewalls are being compressed more than is expected by the manufacturer. If your riding in quite rocky terrain is a 2.6 width rear the best idea? your increasing the width that tire can squeeze through and...

    SP8 Error W103(00)

The error log is a record of all errors and warning encountered by the motor during your ownership. This message is a warning from a specific point in time. I'm not sure if it gives you a date? Chances are it is a once off. But its worth ensuring the wires going into the display are pushed in...

    Strava setup question

This isn't of much help but in the past strava had quite bad navigation tools, I've heard they have improved this year but overall I think people stick using other navigation tools depending on the type of riding there doing. Kamoot is generally what I use but there is better alternatives if the...

    Strava help needed

once you find your area on the heatmap its worth using the "explorer" tool to see the segments. Gotta zoom in and crop the area well or the road segments will show up. https://www.strava.com/segments/explore

    Strava help needed

https://www.strava.com/heatmap#15.45/-2.11733/51.83360/hot/ride Make sure to sign in to strava, set mapstyle to "standard" These trails are on trailforks though and so are some others in your area.

STUnlocker Android App for Shimano motors is available

I believe the downhill measurement is not while peddling but the maximum ever speed. The burden of proof lies with Shimano so they should need to be more clear on the evidence of how its not in warranty. Pictures of the damaged gearbox, how its been over the speed limit. I'd be interested to...

How to derestrict your Shimano E8000/EP8 for £20 without voiding the warranty

Few things: 1) this stops working after some time as the bike has a speed to power ratio calculator and eventually you will trip this and get an error code until you revert the change (and spin the pedals/motor with no resistance until the ratio comes back down). 2) The motor can determine...

    Motor cut out speed.

Have you measured the speed of the bike with an independent app / watch? Most ebikes over estimate there speeds but when measured using a smart watch or strava you will see your going slower than reported. For example on my bike 25kmh on the display corresponds to 24kmh on my watch. Every speed...

Zeb Select + 160mm Mixed Bag

Just an update on my issue from above. Just as this post says my issue was the pressure between both air chambers was not equalizing (probably due to excess grease clogging it up completely). After deflating down to lower PSI's I noticed I was losing a huge amount of the fork travel and even up...

Do all (nearly all) Maxxis tubeless ready tires leak?

While you seem to have covered everything you did last night one other thing to consider is a 10 degree (5?) temperature change will affect the tire by 1 psi putting the last 12 hours into an error in measurement failure. a 1-2 psi leak to me is to be expected. The rim tape needs to be perfect...

    Ebike Acceptance

The point is 90 minutes or 168 Watts for 90 minutes, much better than no exercise. There is certainly a point where you can do no work on ebikes but I feel most are putting in a good amount of work while getting more power and more speed with more ups/downs. I wasn't one to call ebikes work in...

Zeb Select + 160mm Mixed Bag

Thanks, I'll test it out. Just to be clear the maximum amount of rebound clicks is 12. I can only go 6 more and thats the fastest rebound. My reasoning behind the LSC compression was that its already so harsh so adding more will hardly make it better? But its worth testing out.

Zeb Select + 160mm Mixed Bag

Yeah, I agree. One of the reasons I haven't bothered with it. Low speed compression is fully open (it doesn't seem to make much difference in fact if any at all which seems odd). I've tried quite a few configurations at this point hence moving to the lower leg service. Need to order some oil...

Zeb Select + 160mm Mixed Bag

I don't actually have a Trek just in here giving out about the fork mostly. Using Treks setup of the Zeb ultimate on a Slash 9.9 2021, it gives me very close values to what I have been using 52 recommended vs my 50 and only one compression setting off. This is very far off the 63 psi rockshox...

Zeb Select + 160mm Mixed Bag

Was off the ebike for a few weeks and riding the regularly bike. A rockshox sektor. Going back to the Zeb (Select+) once again massive issues, 1 minute into a trail having to stop due to hands going numb also. The bike was put up to a higher pressure the last few weeks, so cycled the fork at...

DHF stands for Downhill Freeride and DHR stands for Downhill Race. Who knew!!!

I actually went the opposite direction been running Maxxis for a few years now and just lost patience with the DHF in the mud and am now running a Schwalbe hans damf in the rear and dirty dan for the slop in the front. Will either switch back to a magic mary in the spring or maybe give the DHF...
