Hi all, iv not been for a few years, but may be hitting Morzine/ Les gets next month... Iv ridden various bikes in my younger years there, Dh and enduro... But thinking of taking my Mondraker crafty carbon, has anyone else taken ebikes and how did they find it? Did hear something about them not...
On this model, magnet is on disc rotor. The last 2018 model i had the magnet was on spokes and yes if knocked it would not work properly, dont knoe what to do with this one... Is your magnet spoke or on disc?
Hi, what did you go with in the end? I fitted a vol speed 3 to my 2021 mondraker e crafty and couldnt get it to work properly. Motor would cut in and out. Sometimes cut out at 12 ish mph and kick in at 17ish. Had to take it off aa riding today and couldnt get it working.. Any update on what you...
Hi, just tried the vol speed 3 on my 2021 mondraker e crafty. It seemed to kick in and out of power. Tried about 6 times, upped the speed on the kiox, but every time i tried power may cut off at 14mph and kick in at 17ishh for example. Anyone have this problem, as i have had to remove for now?
No, i really hate the limitor it ruins the bike. I have had ebikes before, last was a 2018 crafty that i de restricted from day 1. Personally it ruins the bike for me, as im on the limitor alot or just above.
How you getting on with your bike... I just bought a 2021 carbon second hand.. Works fine, but i want to de restrict... Have you done this to yours. I just tried a vol speed 3 and it does not seem to work properly. Thanks
I have a 2021 mondraker ecrafty and just bought the vol speed v 3 tuning kit. One of the 1st instructions is to remove the bike battery... Problem is the battery on this bike is not really removable.
Anyone set up used the vol speed without removing their battery?
Im in exactly the same position. I had a new motor 18 months ago and that one is now on its way out. I had an offer from Bosch - good will gesture. I pay reduced amount of 750 for the motor and the new purion display unit and have a new motor and 24 months warranty or 500 quid and 6 months...
I ran the Rohloff a few years back, along with a friend. We thought it was going to be a great solution to mountain biking, but found it a pain in the arse. The weak point was shit getting into the cables, making it virtually impossible to shift. On our 1st trip to Wales in winter I almost lost...
Mate has cushcore, but we all run vitoria inserrts now... Easy to fit, more support... 5 of us ran these in the lakes and no flats, twinned with eddy currents.. Considering iv ridden over 25 years in the lakes on every bije, tyre and tube this has been the 1st puncture free trip!!!
Evening...
My mondy is 3 years old and about a year ago the bosch motor sounded like a coffee grinder, so off it went for a new under warrenty motor.. Just over a year on iv just noticed a creak when pedalling, a little like tge tyre scuffing a mudgaurd ( thats what i thought at 1st) but now iv...
Would add one thing... The actual work that was needed on my bike being the bearings is about £100 for a shop to do... Bosch just decided rather than do this, that they would replace the complete motor. I love my bike de restricted as the Mark 3 is soooo draggy over 15mph, that I can ride my...
I had a mark 3 bosch motor get noisy just under two years and took to a local bosch dealer, checked it over and sent back for warranty... A few months later, my mate had the same and took his there... They rang him following day and said come and pick it up, we are not touching it as it has been...
I bought a bike at a shop up north, as they had my size, spec etc and offered the ride to work, through green commute.. But after nearly 2 years the bosch motor sounded noisy... Anyway, the original shop could have done the warranty, but over 100 quid to send the bike, i found a local bosch...
Sounds do able... I did have a Trek remedy, off a mate that came polished I really like the look. Thanks, project for spring, or maybe sooner whilst the weather bad.
You know what, that was my first idea, polished.... Watched a few vids on stripping and it looked a ball ache... It could do with loosing a few pounds, maybe a helping shotblast may help!
