the shimano ep8 does do Ant + I have all my values separate, but have not tried to see if it will do power, I am going to have to try it. The key is to not use the shimano apps

do you know if shimano makes a crank with power meter for the ep8 or will it not work because they are hooked to the motor?

I agree, you are probably fine with the current firmware, but if you decide to do it stay with the bike and keep touching the screen so it does not fall asleep
