Levo Gen 2 How does Mission Control track miles on the bike?

How does it know the distance I've ridden? I assumed the app worked by GPS or mobile tower triangulation from my phone. There's no GPS/mobile in the bike. I could see some calculation of revolutions as I peddle against my tire size, but it can't possibly know if I coasted a mile down a hill?

Just heads up and catch those jerks

Bike theft in the states (particularly where I am in California, but probably everywhere) is rampant. There have been attempts at city-govt sponsored bike registration schemes that never worked out. There's a volunteer system here: 529 Garage: Register. Respond. Recover. | Join the World's...

Levo Gen 2 How does Mission Control track miles on the bike?

Sorry for the noob question. I'm selling my 19 Levo Comp and trying to represent as best as possible. I show 258 miles in Mission Control, but I know that friends have ridden it plenty without the app connected. None of those 'non-mission control' rides are counted in miles correct? So I really...

Sorry I should have been more clear. The Spesh site has inventory lookup for all dealers in a 200mile radius. So you pick the exact bike you want and ‘find local’ tells you which shop has it and how many. I’ll call to verify and hold though before driving over

Ok so spent time at my LBS today. They sold out of the one I want, did a reorder and sold out, and tried to do a second reorder but Spesh was out. Guy there suggested I look at other shops and there’s one 60 miles away so I’ll likely try to go Sat am. At current pace he guessed he’d be fully...

Levo SL Gen 1 Official Levo SL Thread

Agreed, I was joking. My ride this morning was 2.5 hrs and 21miles. 2830ft elevation gain and had 27% battery left. Avg support was 79%. I was getting a bit tired/hungry (only had light breakfast before heading out), but could have gone more... though 2-3 hrs is typically all the time I have...

Yeah everything is more expensive in CA! More noob questions... I just got on the hamster wheel last year (before last year my prior bike was a '97 26" Stumpy hardtail. still have it! :) I found a Spanish dealer (Mammoth) listing the 2021 SL and... the entire lineup looks like the 2020 SL. Any...

Totally agree. This is actually our holiday home, but with Covid we are spending a LOT of time up here and plan to live/work from here most of the summer. I'd like to do the swap now. However, I do have the 2019 Levo Comp, which is a great bike, and I have a full carbon 'analog' stumpy, so all...

I saw the 15% on the site but the small print says "does not apply to bikes"

Here's some bike p0rn from this morning's ride. This trail is out my front door (no car reqd), looking over Fallen Leaf Lake, with Lake Tahoe in the distance.

Thanks for that! I'm in South Lake Tahoe. I'll take another look at the Carbon but preferred the Oak. For the $$$ I want to love it. I was on the 'rocket red' this morning and there's no way I'd own that color! :)

Noob buyer question about dealing with LBS. Context: I bought a 19 Levo Comp end of last season from this LBS (I bought their end of season demo model and saved $1!). Prior bike purchases were off craigslist so I've limited LBS experience. I just took the morning off work to demo the Levo SL...

Hello! Seeking a bit of advice on Turbo Levo

Tom check out my post above. Would highly recommend you rent one if you are able to. I had similar experience as Jeb. I was trying to get a workout and using power to take edge off hard parts of the ride. I came home with 80% on a 500wh.

Thanks, your comments combined with a specialized presentation I found online, I *think* I get it.... so Support equates to how much effort I need to put in to get corresponding output on the crank, kind of like a 'sensitivity' setting, while Max Power is really the multiplier number of how much...

    2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

I spent just over 3 hours on a rented base Levo in Tahoe on Thursday. Did an 8 mile loop and a 4 mile loop, and a couple miles to back home. Decent elevation changes but not crazy.... 1000' on first and ~600' on second, and a couple hundred back home. Two questions, from a noob: 1) Does...

Thanks all. @Nando Lope sure I'll just make a second trip to my money tree ;) lol Already having a hard time w/ prices!!! No Kenevo... was thinking of picking up a 3-4 year old pedal bike for ~2-3k along with Levo. I'm coming from a vintage '98 Stumpjumper hardtail. Did a bunch of riding...

    2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

Carbon Levo owners: Anyone have heat problems? I'm shopping Levos (tried a Comp Carbon today!) and sales guy mentioned that he'd heard the carbons don't dissapate heat as well, suggesting I might want to go alloy. I didn't find much on this in the threads so guessing it is not really true, but...
