Thanks guys. yes changing bike between ebike and non ebike really mess up my riding on ebike.
can't have everything, unfortunately the DH part is negatively effected.
still no regret for me, still enjoying riding my ebike. i just did epic 25 miles ride on ebike, so much fun.
thanks mate. makes sense. I just need to re-learn the technic and get used to it.
I put a pike to replace revelation, much better at front.
twisty single track DH is my main issue, just could not get the speed that I want. the bike always wants to go straight, heavy steering at speed, very...
hmm interesting, your DH time is faster on emtb vs transition patrol. even on twisty sections?
my biggest issue is cornering, I'd lose too much speed.
yes Gary, Practice practice practice...I just have to slow down more, can't be aggressive like on reg MTB, at least for now.
I am not comparing trail vs DH bike. also no mention of any DH track, just regular trail DH sections.
both bikes are trail, emtb vs reg mtb. so your suggestion is accept the defeat?
I would like to learn more about emtb handling on DH, as I am not getting the speed I usually get on reg mtb, or...
Been riding since 2009, I like trail bike, nimble, good climber, pick my line on DH.
I am fairly fast on the DH, small jumps and drops, nothing crazy.
my reg bike is evil following, weighs 29 lbs.
I just got my 1st real emtb, only been 2 weeks, it is motobecane e27plus 140mm travel both f/r...
sure we have the option to turn off the motor whenever we like.
Gary, the graph on you profile picture, do you use it when riding? what's the RPM like before the graph spike up vertically? I don't have that feature in my E7000 display, but I can listen to the motor noise as a reference.
I am...
yes got it, that's obvious. but what is the sweet cadence rpm wise? I try to use my leg power more. I lowered the eco mode to medium, maybe I'll try low eco next time.
I have done it, with shimano brakes, it was pretty easy, just swap the hose on the lever side. then bleed. because my ebike has all internal routing, too much hassle to take out the brake hose.
Hello riders,
new to emtb here, riding with Shimano E7000 motor. unfortunately the E7000 display does not have the chart display like E8000.
I notice on the same climb, same speed, different gear:
high gear, low cadence (like under 60 rpm), motor noise is very low, almost quiet. does it mean...
Thanks mates, I am in sunny Southern California, bike24 does not ship shimano parts to US.
bummer. that XT steps crank arms look like regular non ebike XT left crank arm, but not sure non ebike crank will fit the steps motor, that's my real questions.
if so, meaning I can grab any shimano left...
My bike came with 175mm arms, seems too long and the pedals are very low to the ground, compared to my regular bike with sram X1 170mm arms. about 10-20mm lower.
I was looking for shimano steps crank arm for 165mm, but nobody has in stock. however on ebay, I can get 165mm Zee left crank arms...
Bought a bunch of stuff: shorter stem 40mm, 203mm rotor + adapter, U-Lock to lock my bike in garage, crankbros candy 1 pedals, boost adapter to use my old wheels.
future shopping list: longer travel dropper, carbon bar, shorter cranks arms 165mm
I am having a hard time connecting the cables from switch unit to the display, also cable from battery to the display, even with the supplied tool.
Should I force it using the shimano supplied tool?
I just recieved the bike today, it came with the cables disconnected.
