I wrote Canyon asking them if it was technically possible to attach a Thule hanger to tow their Chariot, but their reply was a non-answer, so I guess someone will just have to give it a try and see if the Thule hanger fits on the back, and learn what hardware is required to get it to attach...
I e-mailed Canyon about the swapping the rear wheel on a Spectral to 29, but unfortunately they thought I was asking about customizing the order, rather than whether it was possible to swap in the wheel ourselves. Anyway, this is what they replied:
Dear [--],
Thank you for your email.

I think the internal gears idea makes alot of sense, and we're seeing some manufacturers move that way, the Eboxx being a good example.
But certainly profit margins would be negatively affected by the long life of internal hub gearing, and the investment required in an entirely new product...
Awesome, thanks for sharing! As long as it fits, the 29 will likely be for longer distances on gravel or pavement with smoother touring tires, so traction won't be an issue.
You're not losing it, its a duplicate. For some reason I could create the post in the general forum but it didn't show up until a day later--so I thought there was a new user restriction and reposted in the newbie area, now there's two.
Has anyone tried replacing their derailleur and cassette with an internal hub, such as an Alfine 11 or Rohloff?
Considering the weight is not as important, it might make maintenance much simpler. I'm wondering if a Spectral or Neuron frame will accept such a conversion....
This versatility of air also appears to have its own drawbacks, as it requires calibration before every ride doesn't it? Can coils be set once and forgotten about, assuming the rider and the ride area don't change?
This is something I think makes sense for the riding I plan to do, less maintenance and setup is important when we only have an hour to go riding and the ride area is directly behind our home.
Are there any recommendations for coil forks for eMTB's specifically?
Edit: Just realized this "I...
In my research for buying an eMTB I'm learning more about suspension systems. I'm trying to find a bike to perform multiple roles, such as towing children, touring, and trail riding. This lead me to determine that coil shocks may be a better choice because they require less maintenance or...
I'm looking to buy my first mtb, which will also be electric. I don't have any mtb experience, but have some city and road bike experience, and have ventured off into the local trails enough to recognize the necessity of a suspension system. I live in southern Germany near the black forest, and...

That's a good point, I had not considered future towing requirements, just what we use now, which is a Thule. As the kid gets bigger it makes sense to tow the kid and a bike. Thanks for sharing what you've found.
The side attachment of the Thule seems to work on most any hub, I think. Whether...
Great to hear, thanks for sharing. I'd be more interested in a Neuron On than a Spectral On, if I was being honest, as I think it fits more of what I'm looking for--lower key trail riding and touring. But the value of the components of the Spectral seems much better for some reason. Maybe I...
