It's interesting to me seeing ppl swap between bikes due to limited availability. I decided on the geo, travel, and then price I wanted before I picked the bike I wanted. Then I wanted to make sure the brand had good customer support. That's how I decided on the bike I wanted. It seems...
I can't see wanting 140mm travel on a ebike. It's not like climbing is hard with a 170 ebike. Best of both worlds plus downs and easy ups. I have a jeffsy 29 (140) and it sucks being under gunned through really gnarly tech. Only reason to go 140 and lower is to make the climbing livable.
29 slower acceleration, slightly heavier, slightly better roll over (obstacles), slightly faster at speed, slightly more stable. As far as ebikes are concerned I'd rule out anything involving weight. 29 is a no brainer imho
PNW makes a quality dropper. I own both a pnw dropper and one up v2. They both work great. I use the one up more had to get it serviced cause it was sticking. Mechanic who worked on it said it was the easiest dropper he'd serviced. Both have a small amount of play like all droppers.
I started out mtb on a 27.5 giant hardtail entry level. I fell in love with mtb on that bike. Next bike was a 29r full sus YT Jeffsy, and absolutely loved it. I've been able to ride much harder things with a much more confidence inspiring bike. I like the idea that once you get it rolling it's...
I pre-ordered a few minutes ago. Like everyone else I'm hoping we see shipments before Dec. I talked to them yesterday and they weren't even sure if pre-order would be 1-2 weeks away. It seems clear they are guessing at information like the rest of us (at least the sales reps). The guy I talked...
