A bit naughty I know to bump my own thread but.... I'd really be interested to know whether anyone protects the motor area of their bikes if they carry them on a towbar bike rack behind their car. It's not something I'd be too worried about for short journeys but for longer distances...
The ones I was looking at are 30cm long and stretch to 48cm. That sounds like they should work. I was thinking of using perhaps just one - at the bottom of the cover. ???
Thanks to all of you for the very encouraging and nice comments about the bike, I appreciate them.
As said, it seems decent spec and so far (early days of course) I'm finding the handling excellent and I like the way the Bosch motor feeds to power.
Thanks @MrPeaski I now know what the proper...
Thanks @golfatha I was originally thinking I'd get the black version but then I saw this one... still not sure of the official colour name.... "Petrol" was mentioned. Anyway, it really appealed to me. Btw, I should say that I really like the team colours on yours. It looks very nice.
I do...
Thanks a lot. I rode in Frith today.... some deep pools and quite a few trees down but enough rideable stuff to have a little spin and get use to the new e-mtb (and e-bikes full stop). I plan to ride with my son tomorrow going through Frith (again) then into Porridgepot (G2) which is supposed...
After first starting to consider getting an e-mtb for the first time back in August and regularly looking in here, I finally pushed the button this week. I picked up a Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC SLX 750 today and after getting it home and setting up the Bosch Flow app I went for a very short...
Finally, I've just pushed the button on my first e-mtb, I should get it tomorrow (but more on that once I get it). I travel down to southwest France quite regularly and have been thinking about transporting it. I already have an Atera towbar rack but that will be too small for my new purchase...
Thanks @Paulquattro Not really a curved ball, very useful in fact. I wanted to get some first hand experiences of using the ebikeshop. Pedal Heaven (and the recent suggestion of Berkshire Cycles) I have some knowledge of personal experience of. The ebikeshop is the slightly oddball one that I...
Just a follow up to this.... I gave Berkshire Cycles a call this morning. They confirmed that whilst they do sell Cube bikes they don't sell Cube emtbs. The reason given was that they weren't happy with the support that Cube gave their ebikes. Who knows, this whole market is a bit of a minefield.
Agreed, it might be worth the call. As I said, they list Cube bikes but there weren't any Cube ebikes as far as I could see..... so whether they do or don't sell them remains to be seen, but yes a call would be worth while.
Btw, I agree that BC have a great reputation.
Thanks @Acee That's very useful. I have to say that your experience doesn't surprise me. I called them earlier this week and the conversation was somewhat cold. I don't know if "cold" exactly describes it but it wasn't what I'm used to when talking to a regular LBS. Everything described by the...
Please excuse a little "bump". I'm presuming that maybe no one has used either of the two bike shops or has particular experience of them. As I said in the original post, I have bought from Pedal Heaven and found them to be good. This wasn't in a ebike context though and some of the warranty...
With these two shops they are both near to me (but in different directions).
As far as I know, Cube are a decent brand, the particular model I'm interested in meets my basic requirements.... 29", 150/140 F/R travel, Bosch motor, 750 removable battery... the tyres it comes with will do for the...
I'm finally getting nearer to actually buying an emtb after lurking here for a while. I've been road and mtb for a while.
I don't want to buy online and there are two shops I'm considering.
The first is Pedal Heaven at Fleet in Hampshire, not far from me. I've bought from them before (a...
