I've noticed that my disc moves side to side as the wheel goes round. I've bought a brand new disc and it still wobbled. I then swapped it with the front which I could see was definitely not warped and when on the back it moves side to side (wobbled). Therefore on mine at least, the rear hub...
Went for a ride this morning and it uploaded fine. I selected the one which previously failed to upload and that one went up fine this time so I presume it was a problem on their server side before.
I use the app for the same reason, see how much battery I use so I can predict just how far I...
I did a ride this morning and it won't upload. First time it's happened to me. Uploaded fine a few days ago. I presume there is something wrong on the server end. See if it sorts itself out tomorrow.
Have you tried it yet Akiwi? I have the same problem with my Shimano BR-MT520 brakes. I have bought a new rotor, the same type stupidily, and even the new one moves side to side as it goes through the pads so is fractionally warped. Looking around it seems larger rotors suffer more, mine are...
I'm 6'1 and ride a large 2019 Trance 2. I would say the Trance comes up on the small side. I certainly wouldn't want to go any smaller. Older Large size bikes I have are bigger.
I know how tempting it must be to go for a bargain like that but it would spoil it riding the wrong size...
I've had a...
Unfortunately it's definitely the motor/crank area. If I turn the bike upside down I can reproduce the creak by putting alternating sideways pressure on the pedals with my hands alone (granted a lot of pressure) so its definitely that area.
I did check the seat clamp and the other covers...
I have this creak as well now :(. I can reproduce it with my hands.
Where are these two left motor mounts? Does anyone have a pic they can share? I think I know which ones you mean but I'd like to check.
I presume I don't need to take the motor off? Just undo, grease and put these bolts back in?
Thanks for the reassurance and info Kenny. I'll use Stans from now on then. I was going to carry a spare inner tube, but is it worth carrying a small bottle of spare sealant as well?
Ok, never really done tubeless, I've never really been bothered before. However, got my first puncture on my trance e+2. Luckily it stayed up enough for me to get home in the warm and dry to fix it. First thing, the tyre was an absolute b****d to get off! In my, ahem, 40 years of fixing...
I've done it once on a clockwork bike a few years ago, it's a great ride but I did it mid summer and there were a lot of walkers who were to be fair very friendly, but after about 1000th "excuse me please" I got a bit fed up with it. This time of year I'd imagine it's great.
But a 27.5 x 2.8 reminds me of my motorbike days. You'll be able to work out who I am on the trails, I'll be the weirdo making motorbike noises as I ride along...
They came from bike companies wanting to sell everyone new bikes? Or am I missing the point?
In my opinion 29ers are slightly faster XC, take a 26er if you want to throw yourself off a few jumps. I prefer to go faster, never had much appetite for anything other than small jumps and drop offs...
I have an old Giant Anthem X 29er and absolutely love it, it's very efficient and a few years ago when I was fitter it was extremely rare for anyone to overtake me. Just after I bought it the whole 27.5 thing came in and I was s bit disappointed tbh. Now I've bought a 27.5 Giant Trance, I really...
I do the same as I always have on an analogue bike when approaching slower riders "Pass on your x side when you get a chance please" and usually they move aside and I give a cheery "thanks" as I pass.
The bell is more of an issue with walkers. I use a canal towpath to get to trails. I've had...
Hmm, I do like to nerd out with the stats afterwards, but I also like to see realtime speed. Can I use the app afterwards or does it need to stay connected all the time? I guess it runs in the background on your phone? In which case perhaps a handle bar simple one and a phone in my backpack
