Recently tested an R & M Delight with B0sch Gen4 / Rollhof hub and Belt drive ...was amazed how little drag there was and was able to exceed the limiter without problem......as others have said maybe it feels draggy because you arrive at the limiter in a higher gear than expected.
Went for a test ride on a Super Delight GT as the chassis and suspension are similar to the Off Road ....but with two batteries and panier carriers mud guards and an anchor for a lock. It was a lump. @ 32 kg vs my Focus Jam @22Kg
I knew it was not going to be anything like the Off Road but...
UM Its altogether a bigger bike with 29 wheels and bigger everything and heavier ( it is large size vs my medium) possibly for the trails we ride it is more stable. He moved from a cruiser road bike so he cant compare but very pleased so far

Friend just bought one and is very pleased with it.....we are not mad downhillers but ride some difficult trails and so far so good.
I believe unless you are an aficionado and an experienced rider not too many of us would be able to tell the difference between most bikes anyway.
I do note...
Can you use OS maps on this ?
I dont need Data just basic bike controls and speed etc BUT I use OS maps on my phone all the time and cant get on with the alternatives .
Need something simple as old farts have difficulty with too much digital stuff.
Had a very short test ride today    Cant believe the gear change OK a bike is a bike and most do the job we want but the Rollhof gearbox is a dream For any of you that have driven Old cars its a bit like comparing an old 1930s crash box with a modern F1 flappy...
sadly Focus do not seem to have a very helpful customer care .......Ve haf vayes of not 'elping.
Thats why I will not buy another Focus Ries & Mueller next....but they are also from the fatherland.!
ooooh dear this is going to be expensive!!!!
Local BS is an agent and is offering lengthy test rides when next batch arrives shortly......
That OffRoad looks great NO derailleur .. NO Chain Ebike bliss
Prices keep going up....so I had better buy quickly before 'er indoors finds out .
GOOD GRIEF he went out secretly and bought a Moustache Samedi Game 29! bloody hell this is a guy who only ever bought the cheapest anything in his life >!!! Same shop also sells Reis & Muller with Rollhof and belt drive .....damm damm this is going to cost me money ..;)...
You should be able to purchase a similar bolt from a local fastener supplier .It is sure to be countersunk M8 or something like that.
I found some alloy bolts on my 2017 model and replaced the seat clamp one with SS supported with a nut works fine as long I am careful
Good luck
After years of persuasion my cycling buddy has decided to buy a full suss EMTB and has asked me to make suggestions!!!. BUT he also road rides with his wife so I guess he should have a Hybrid .....So far I have found Moustache Samedi ( which he likes) and Cube Stereo Hybrid ..........are there...
This has to be the way forward for EMTBs I just hate the derailleur.Your solution looks good .
I am following developments of the Revonte One Drive Which appears to take the gearbox to an entirely new level
Its taking along time to come to market and I hope they are successful.....if not your...
Its all about the "blame society" ,"woke tossers " and ambulance chasing solicitors trying to screw quids out of the unwary.
