Moved from lightweight Focus jam,Shimano steps 8000 motor, 325 battery which gave me approx 35 miles off/eco/trail on my local trails to a Ries& Muller Delight Mountain , Bosch CX, 650 battery, Rollhof gears and Belt drive ...if I ride carefully I can get up to 40 miles BUT hardly use...
The case against mudguards
Completely unmovable....stuck solid. Now happened 3/4 times requires serious un blocking to continue ride only to do it again a few yards further on.!
You guys that ride without guards does the same thing happen or is it due to the MGs giving reduced clearance.?
Made my own from some innertube . Works well . Duct tape and contact adhesive keeps it in place.
Mk 2 is better but no pix yet but you get the picture.
I use reusable cable ties because I am a tight git. Get them from garden centre. Also remove the rear mudhugger regularly as it is AMAZING how much Suffolk Clay sticks to the underside and adds to. Weight and lowers clearance
please put up some pics so we can see which bolts you are talking about.
We all need to keep an eye on them.
Is this a Trek design fault or inherent in all Bosch motors.? Guess it is the latest CX motor as fitted to my Ries & Muller Delight Mountain.
Hope you get it fixed.
BTW what bolts...
My 51 Delight frame is more comfortable than my old Focus. “Medium” so much so that I am no longer searching for the elusive ultimate saddle. SQ labs .
Verysideways. Hi. Interested in how you mounted the gear selector below the bars. I find I have to look down at the switch to be sure I press + or - which can be “inconvenient” on some occasions, with levers that was not a problem. Cheers
I have had my R&M delight mountain with Rollhof and gates belt for 3 months now Was desperate to get away from derailleurs and all the faff.
The Rollhof has electronic change which is superb and coupled with the Gates belt makes post ride cleaning a doddle , simple , gentle...
Its a Mudhugger medium....... with my own rear extender and frontend mudflap to keep muck out of the suspension bits / shock area..its crude but it works...I still get some spattering but it keeps most muck away.
It does vibrate quite a lot but I ignore it ...the biggest problem is when its...
That is the stock tensioner . Needs disconnecting if you have to remove the rear wheel . Dealer showed me a trick of turning bike upside-down and with a long cable tie or similar pulling the spring out of the way...makes everything easier BUT remember which way the spring faces when refitting...
I am 2 months into my new R&M Delight Rollhof / Gates this has electronic shift and is quite beautiful to change as long as you keep weight/load off the system momentarily whilst shifting....just the same as proper shifting with derailleurs. it has auto down shift when stopped but to...
This post has come at the right time for me as I am having very uncomfortable neck problems(as per Steve S)when riding my R&M Delight Mountain.
I used a 30mm stem and 50mm riser bars on my Focus which sorted me out .
For wiring reasons I cant use a riser stem so have to go for higher rise...
During a muddy off road ride today the flimsy trim around the front of the Bosch motor was hit somewhere along the route and during post ride clean down found this . It is flimsy plastic as soft as cheese . After close inspection I find it simply pushes onto 2 holes in the motor and thereafter...
