That said, Pole don’t seem to have a coherent vision/delineation for their range. In analogue going from Machine to Stamina to Vikkela to Onni… there’s not a lot of differentiation. Likewise for their e-bikes.
Whatever. I love my Stamina and Voima. Rad bikes.
I’ve put 40s on my new Voima ID Race. It rides like a DH bike. I have zero buyer's remorse. This looks like a less practical and (even!) uglier version of what I have. Given the option, with full knowledge of the S-Onni, I’d make the same choice again.
I'm also your height and inseam. I own an S5 Gen 3 Levo with the Cascade long shock kit and a 180mm 38 which I've been riding for a little over a year.
I had my first ride of my recently built up K3 Voima ID Race frameset yesterday (race axles, Fox 40s, stock RS SDU air, XO Transmission...
This surely can’t be right. I have or have had all these. The gap between the Levo and Voima seems too large.
I took Delivery of my K3 Voima today. There’s no way it’s a 5kg heavier frame.
I’m just starting my build. I have the ID frameset. I don’t have the Pole rotor adaptors. I intend to use 220mm Magura rotors front and rear. Does anyone know if standard Magura post mount adaptors will work?
I mulleted my Kenevo adding a Fox 40, which has about the same axle to crown as a 180mm 38. TBH it was fairly horrible for anything that wasn’t super steep. It was just too slack - I would unexpectedly wash the front wheel without notice on flatter turns in situations you wouldn’t imagine coming...
