A few weeks ago.... LBS found a sheared a non replaceable Bosch motor mount on my 1 year old Cube when replacing a cable under warranty..... Luckily Bosch covered it under warranty and I had a new free motor supplied and fitted in just over a week👍
I'd put over 2000 miles on the motor in year...
I do both.
If heading to somewhe where I want to ride all day and im up and down from the carpark... like Contin, Laggan, Dunkeld, etc the the spare stays in the van till needed
If doing a big long mountain day then it goes in the backpack.
Ah, yeah mine was feeling lumpy, loose and sloppy by the time I did the extensive service and replacements so know how that feels. Feeling brand new now though and bosch motor has been sweet since day one with no issues (touches wood).
I've also seen loads of second hand emtbs up for sale with...
Depends how/where/how often you ride. As friends here often discuss, living where we live most of our rides tend to be quite full-on and hammer the bikes (mountains and Enduro trails). Add to that most of us are self-employed means we have more time to ride than many folk, so rack up the miles...
I've now had an ebike for a year, used it in anger on all types of terrain. Living next to a mountain range (Aviemore/Cairngorms) I ride the mountains a lot (steep and rocky) and techy Enduro type trails.

I can't help with your question but interested about your comment, "...a bit tired, probably done 3000 miles now...".
I did 2000miles last year alone in the first year of owning my cube stereo hybrid. Is it that fact you're done 3000miles that you think makes it tired?
Ive just done an...
That's because the bike industry and race organisers correctly recognise that we ebikers are the elite in terms of being super fit rider athletes, with fitness levels far exceeding anologue riders, so EWS-E riders need a more challenging course ?
I really enjoyed it too. I knew to plug into the orientation points and did every one, but one didn't register on the system for some reason and for a penalty anyway ?♂️
I passed a number of people and they were all friendly and pleasant and got out the way before I even had to shout 'rider'...
I have that cube 2021 model and yes you get amazing spec for the price, lots of folk comment on that ? I had a warranty issue a month after getting it in Jan and the local dealer and Bosch rep sorted it the day it went in and had bike back next day... Bar mounted controller went ape then died...
PHOTOS ?
Plenty photographers on course during the race but nothing on Roots and Rain website as yet, although plenty photos up of the Enjoyro and Tenduro. Has anyone found photos online yet? Or does Bosch have some sort of control over these for this event?
Awesome day, fantastic weather ?, didn't crash (but lots of dabs), great trails.
Finished 42nd in men's advanced and 45th overall (men+women). Happy with that.... just happy to finish in one piece tbh
Stage 1 was a muddy beast of a surprise.
