Roll Call: New Zealand Based EMTB Riders

Definitely worth a visit! Even for the cafe and beer, let alone the riding! Glendhu has a mixture of green, flowing blue/tech trails, a couple of black lines and a 1.7km long jump line as well as a 440m long dual slalom track. Plenty for everyone. Got around 35km of trails built now (hopefully...

Roll Call: New Zealand Based EMTB Riders

I'm slightly biased but I think Bike Glendhu is more scenic. Especially Upper Baywatch from Falcons Nest. I really want to get over to Coronet and ride Rude Rock and Hot Rod in 1 hit. Been a few years since I've ridden Rude Rock

    My Rail, Resting on Stuff

Leaning on a shovel and very clean (for me). Final upgrade arrived today so it's now ready for the southern hemisphere summer. Have upgraded dropper to One Up 180mm and handlebar to One Up as well with Red ODI grips. Had to replace rear rotor as I bent it, so swapped front to back and got a...

Roll Call: New Zealand Based EMTB Riders

Had a yarn to them today actually. Good people, I hope it goes well for them as I feel like some structure and planning/control of trails etc will benefit the whole mountain biking community

Yeah I really liked the Merida but it was time for a change. I'd actually ordered a new 1 the day the EP8 motor came out but then they were delayed so decided on the Bosch/Trek

Roll Call: New Zealand Based EMTB Riders

Since that photo I've tidied up the cable routing, changed the dropper to a One Up 180mm and the front rotor to a 220mm (I bent the rear rotor and couldn't get a 203mm replacement)

Roll Call: New Zealand Based EMTB Riders

From Gorrre, but do a lot of my e bike riding at Bike Glendhu in Wanaka as I'm involved in it. Tempted to change to a 2021 Whyte E-160RS as we have the 2020 version at the bike park. Merida is a very nice bike though

    Hi from New Zealand

Awesome to see you've been to Bike Glendhu! I'm a little biased, but it's a cool set up huh? I haven't had a ride on one of the Whyte's yet, we are getting good feedback on them though so I must go for a burn one day (I have a Merida E-160 900e).

    Trouble deciding!

I'm not sure on the pricing sorry. Close to $9k for the E-150 s and $10k for the rs model I would say. Torpedo 7 is a stockist so might have some in Chch?

    Trouble deciding!

Whyte E-150? NZ distribution out of Wanaka. There's a fleet of them at Bike Glendhu if you want to try 1 out
