When I fit a new controller is use a spray lacquer on the pcb ( eBay) they are already coated but more is better. Be careful not to contaminate the connectors on the pcb 👍
I think that it’s not that much , but it needs to be in the main bearing & around the outer seal to keep the water out .Hopefully the rotation of the shaft will purge some grease outwardly thus sealing the motor .
Yes that makes sense, I believe the key is to keep it well greased so before winter riding repack the the grease & then again in the spring . The uk is wet.
I’ve tried a large nylon washer between the original seal & the chain ring to keep the extra grease in & water n muck out . But I’ve only done 400 miles testing it so hopefully this is helping .
My motor had suffered some water ingress and the main bearing needs changing , I’ve cleaned it out...
In my opinion the water gets in past the chain ring side seal , keep that area well packed with grease & top it up regularly.
Some on here who runs hire bikes mentioned this & it working for him .
Some good info there, I’d be interested to know if the 36v version m510 has the same performance as the 48v . The current required for the 36v must be significantly higher as battery voltage drops due to range. This must impare the the 36v motor more .
@Neeko DeVinchi when my son had this bike, it was underpowered on climbs compared to the Bosch and both the 48v Fc02 and Fc01 510’s I own. We didn’t get into changing assistance / acceleration % before it went back under warranty.
As you have some experience adjusting the settings, what your...
It sounds like the controller has failed, we returned our bike to crc & had a refund . In view of there current position we were unsure about there ability to carry out warranty work in the future.
If you paid £100 or more by credit card then section 75 will cover you .
This is probably not...
I always cover the display in a plastic bag when washing & transporting on my car, this & the frame wrapped screen has eliminated the water ingress issues I had .
Hi , hope this sorts out your issue , if it were me I’d also clear frame wrap over the dcp245 display screen , mine lets water in causing the same issues. When it drys out it’s ok , since fram warping it it’s been perfect 🤞
I’ve had water issues with the 245 display , put some clear frame wrap over the screen & make sure you overlap the edges all way round , mine has been fine since 🤞
The bike arrived and only needed minimal assembly, front wheel & bars fitted to stem .
Obviously you will need to check tighten all bolts & ensure the brakes are working effectively.
Having said this our bike was assembled correctly & was safe to ride out of the box.
EDIT: however, this was pre...
