    Vorsprung Smashpot

I did it on my pike (2017 turbo Levo). Also went with ohlins coil shock. I’m very happy with both. Great traction. Getting spring rates is obviously trickier. The bottom out resistance adjustment on the smashpot does work. I keep in the middle for regular trail and increase before descending. No...

    Braking technique question

Not sure what’s going on with the play in In your levers, but I “burp” my brakes when ever they feel soft. Tightens them up nicely and it’s really easy to do. Haven’t actually needed to bleed my brakes in quite some time since using this technique. Race mechs use it, that’s how I heard about it.

Levo Gen 2 Anyone gone from a coil shock back to air shock on the Levo?

I put a Ohlins thx on my Levo. It’s made tuned for the stumpy/levo. Love it. Smashpot in the Mail for the Pikes. I may go up a little on spring rate for shock. Bottoming at around 4ft drops but love traction, bombing through rock gardens, with current rate. Looking to perfect the balance.

Over 1700 miles on cassette & chain

PS: live ride in very dry climate. Chain almost never wet or muddy. Which helps.

Over 1700 miles on cassette & chain

2017 Levo, EX 8 speed cassette/10spd chain. Approx 100 miles a month. So around 3K miles. Getting close now on stretch/ready to replace. Think it’s the thicker chain, heavy duty cassette and letting off during shifting. Have heard of people snapping chains much earlier. Very happy with this...

Levo - charge port door pops open on BB hits.

I’ve bashed my BB many times no issue but it’s an older Levo

    Bad backs & emtbs

My back also was the driver to get on emtb. I share many of the same issues as stated already. Core strength is obviously key with a bad back. I found being able to take advantage of the motor and keeping my back straight on the uphills vs being hunched over like on my analog made a huge...

Top Tube Bag for Turbo Levo's.

I think I might give one of these a try against the seat tube. I had different brand that strapped around stem, but that strap broke on rocky trail. Almost lost it.

Levo Gen 2 Specialised Turbo Levo Regular Maintenance

I went with SRAM’s EX1 cassette, chain, derailleur, and Shimano Saints. No chain Breaks/drops, shifts clean, great breaking power. Thought I would chime in since you are planning to make some changes. Let me know if you have any questions about my setup. Happy to help. PS my top motor mount bolt...

    Hello from Southern California.

Guess it depends on type of riding one does. Here it’s mostly serious incline, then gravity takes care of the need for larger front ring.

Hi, Newbie from bay area with question?

I went with a garmin edge with a sram overstem mount. Has an add on app that shows Levo power level, battery etc. you can change power level from it if you are on a 2016/17. I use the other remote switch available. It works with Strava segments, heart rate, and of course other typical bike...

Hi, Newbie from bay area with question?

I did a lot of research and opted for the specialized Turbo Levo. Rides the most like a regular mountain bike plus no other had the same type of app for adjusted power output, etc. I did make several changes....EX1 8 speed, Shimano saints, carbon rims/bars and some other stuff. Mainly personal...

    Hello from Southern California.

Not sure exactly on cost because I swapped parts/got a credit when I bought the bike. Guessing around $600 USD. I believe the cassette doesn’t use the XD driver, so that depends on what you have now on hub. Then you need the chain, shifter and derailleur . I’m using stock 32 praxis chain ring...

Answered Carbon battery & engine cover for Specilized Levo?

This is the one I know of. Thought about it but it is taped to frame/battery. So probably good for scratches. Don’t know about impacts for B.B. I thought about trying BB one to try to protect bottom of motor covers. I wonder though, if they would still crack on impact. TURBO LEVO / KENEVO -...

Ok looks like it worked. Should be good for anyone with 2016/2017. The one just tilted “pdf” is really useful for anyone wanting/needing to change their own motor covers. With the correct tools, removing the crank arms and spider is easy.

I found a retailer technical guide on the Turbo Levo. I have it in pdf. Found some of the trouble shooting stuff useful. Don’t think I can upload PDFs. Any thoughts on how to share?
