Thanks for the reply. That had occurred to me but I'm concious that the assegai is even heavier than dhr and the assegai doesn't break loose as easily if you want to play around with he back end. An anchored front and a bit of play at the back is what I usually try to go for... Might have to...

Hi all. Riding a commencal meta power 29er with stock tyres (schwalbe magic mary front / hans dampf rear, both 2.35 super gravity). Want to switch to maxxis assegai 2.5 DD casing upfront and maxxis dhr 2 2.6 DD casing on the rear... Problem is I cannot find that rear tyre in stock anywhere...

Hi all. Did my first few days of 'real' riding in the forest of dean and then a day at rogate downhill. Bike was great (jumped nicely, largely planted, responsive) but I didn't feel like I could fully trust the front tyre (stock schwalbe magic mary 2.35) when I really pushed it through rock...

Rear axel came loose... Telltale was the brake in my case. Felt like it needed re bleeding. I have the meta power 29 signature, and other than the tyres I have no complaints. At 150km so far, and hit rogate b1kepark yesterday. Bike rocked.

Tried that, but the angle of the bike and resulting weight / leverage is enough to pop open my (cheap) work stand clamp!

Thanks for the thoughts all... So I bought this... And I ended up just clamping the seat tube and fixed tube of the dropper...seemed to be OK in the end.

Not necessarily re size... Others will be able to speak to the technicalities more than me, but surely they could just use different cells with higher capacity, in the same battery pack. I think that's what they've done with the turbo levo?

I think they are preparing to release more models... They just split the categories on their website from a combined 2019/2020 to two separate areas, though the already announced 2020 is still under 2019... Watch this space.

Thanks for the replies. Had a quote for a tow bar at £500 ... Don't fancy sinking half a grand before even looking at the bike rack itself. Looked into the thule rear bike rack range and none of them will fit my A6 estate... Need to check other brands but apparantly will be similar outcome due...
