As @Bigtuna00 mentions, if you live in the western US, it's worth checking with Jenson USA from time to time. They are a large volume dealer, so they get shipments regularly, and unlike other shops, they do not require an actual cash deposit to reserve a bike they have on order; they only take...
@Digcon Dude, welcome to 2021! Anything that you would like to buy, whether complete bikes or components, are backordered like crazy, with ETAs that are (annoyingly) long or unpredictable. Often both.
Stated lead times if you order direct from Orbea via the website are really long, well into...
That is a good start. DTC is certainly the way things are going, and the companies that can best figure out how to manage the aftersales support will have a big advantage. Forestal certainly seems to be on the right track.
I'm also waiting on a Rise that I have on order, and am using that...
@carlbiker The Siryon looks very interesting indeed! Please do let us know how you get on with it if you end up getting one. It looks like a really compelling alternative to the Spec Kenevo SL.
For anyone that is concerned about dealer support and parts/service availability of Orbea or...
I had not noticed that, and it is odd. Assuming they meant XHP222 (instead of HXP222, which I've never heard of), at least they got the color right, as that grease is blue. :ROFLMAO:
That indeed looks like ham-fisted installation, but as others have pointed out, e*thirteen should not be the subject of your ire on this. The first place to complain is the shop you bought the bikes from, which is more than likely where the over enthusiastic application of thread locker and...
Based on the diagram from the installation manual, they are part of the complete crankset assembly, so they would be an e*thirteen sourced part, not an Orbea part. Probably best to try with them.
Surely someone can come up with a community exchange for M20/M10 owners that are removing the spacers from their alloy cranks to send them to M-TEAM/M-LTD owners in need...
I got a helpful response by email from e*thirteen customer support this morning clarifying the details for the proper carbon crank arm installation. It's the same as the alloy arms, with one exception: do not remove the spacer. Pinch bolt and preload cap torques are the same.
No telling if...
Grrrr. Tempting indeed. My medium coal/gold M-Team is supposed to be arriving soon, though I've not checked back with the dealer for an update on the ETA. A bird in the hand....
@e*thirteen Components Thank you for being proactive and communicative on this. Simple question that I may have missed the answer to: are the torque specs the same on the carbon arms as for the alloy arms (2nm preload cap, 14nm pinch bolt)?
UPDATE: Just saw the answer to this question in the...
Rick,
The e*thirteen TSB says that aftermarket preload caps may bottom out on the spindle before properly loading the crank arms. I assume if the spacer behind the crank arm were removed, this would be more likely. Did you confirm the caps were making solid contact with the crank arms before...

That is a bummer... Sounds like you and the wife need to take a short vacation to Salt Lake City. Both of the dealers there have 2 demo bikes each, size S and M.
Official program already announced by email this morning. Here is the link for the demo search (for US): Demo | Dealers
Looks like the dealers in my area (SoCal) have 1 demo bike each, and they are M10, size M.
@Jeffsy29 If she was good on the small Stumpy and Levo SL, she may be fine with the small Rise then. If your LBS has an Orbea Occam in small, she could try that. Size is of course really personal preference, and depends not only on height or RAD, but proportion of inseam to tosro length (which...
I also guess the Rise will be too big in a Small. The Rise runs big when comparing like for like sizing with other comparable models. I have a good friend who is about your wife's height (just slightly taller actually), and she is on an aluminum Levo SL Comp precisely because they made it in a...
Chris, that is great, thanks for posting. I have an Edge 830 that I just received (have not unboxed it yet) that I got specifically in anticipation of the Rise I have on order. It's great to know the native e-bike screen works with the Orbea, and the data fields you have displayed are all I...
@BobR Awesome! How cool is that?! I'm incredibly lucky in that my wife condones my two wheeled interests, not questioning when I buy new bicycles or motorcycles, and not complaining when the garage is filled with them. But your wife buying you a (rather pricey) new Rise is next level.
I have...
Just to add, this forum has been a really helpful source of information for me so far, compared to other MTB and cycling forums. It's really great to see an engaged and active community of riders sharing information and ideas. Any discussion of eMTBs on other cycling forums often devolves into...
Hey everyone,
Longtime rider of all varieties of MTB/road cycling and motorcycles (on and offroad). FF eMTBs have never captured my interest (probably because I'd rather just take out my dirtbike instead), but lightweight bikes like the Levo SL and Rise certainly look compelling. Just doing...
