Finally seems like Valeo/effigear have a solid prototype, I recall seeing another manufacturer on an embn vid at interbike a few weeks ago too.

In my mind this is a slam dunk for ebikes and should the...
I hear you, I snagged my rail 9.7 in September after ordering it in may. Got a great deal at 4900 and they are now at an insane 6750. Tariff or no tariff, someone is making serious bank off the pandemic and surge in cycling.
Yea thats the kit, the last time I ordered I got an old spec banjo bolt tho (think it was m4 instead of 3, or 5 instead of 4 or something) so in the order form make sure you highlight you need the correct spec. They arent quite as tidy as the internal finish hoses but the quality is great and...
As far as I know they are the same caliper body, only with 'e-optimised' pads, this was just the cheapest place for the calipers that i could find on my last build.
As far as the barb compatibility goes, the magura one quite thick (aka sits quite a long way proud of the olive)? Im not sure, but...
You're not going to regret the setup bud, I love mine.
One thing I learnt first of all is you need the thicker brass barbs from Shimano as the magura hose is a little thicker and they can somethimes be a bit of a pain to seat.
However, for the last two shigura sets I've installed I've opted...
Am 6'1 but with 31 inside leg and long torso, ride XL.
They aren't ever going to be the most nimble machines (even in small sizes) but does the job perfectly well, if you think it's a bit dead you can always flip the chip and steepen up the head angle, my acoustic Slash feels far more fun in the...
Don't laugh.. but I've been rocking these for the last month and they are fantastic

Super warm, comfortable, waterproof.. grip well on my nukeproof flat pedals.
Also been using Declathon thermal...
Yea that's pretty much the breakdown, as @aarfeldt mentioned the quality difference is night and day, in my opinion SRAM stuff is just awful. Obviously you can go 10 speed with more range but as I mentioned I don't need more range, the 36t is fine.
By far the best feature is the double upshift...
I have the exact same setup as OP, saints and mt7s, have ridden with stock magura pads, race magura, disco pads ceramic pro, and some nukeproof organic ones I picked up in Les gets last year. The ceramic pros are the superior in all conditions imo, incredibly grabby and most of all satisfy my...
I run mt7 calipers and saint levers on my dh bike, and mt5 estop calipers and saint levers on my trek rail, both with uberbike braided hoses.
Both perform identically, it's really just the colour of the caliper that seems to be the difference, and potentially the compound of the pads.
I run...
I'm thinking similar regarding the fork upgrade, Ive seen a few rails with regular sized crowns and it looks a little silly.. thinking of a damper upgrade on the yari is the way to go, it doesn't flex unduly or anything.
I run 10spd saint group on my 9.7 with an 11-36 xt cassette and haven't had a problem with the ratio (live in the Surrey hills so fairly steep).
Best groupset out there, I rode it with the eagle group for a month or so and the 50t with a motor is just not needed at all, I find you break traction...
Got my 9.7 XL about 2 months ago and is and absolutely dreamy.
Upgrades made so far:
Ohlins ttx22m
Shigura brakes (saint levers and mt5 estop calipers, uberbike steel braided hoses, disco pads carbon ceramic pads)
Full Saint 10sp 11-36 groupset
Race Face sixc 35mm bars and the 35mm knock...
My '21 9.7 XL just picked up, the dark grey/black and chrome decal is awesome. New brakes, shock, dropper and drivetrain to come in the next month or so, couldn't be happier. Kiox is sick too, thought it would be a gimmick but loving it.
I had an appalling experience with my decoy, actually posted about it here. Final got some money back (they kept 700 quid as I had done around 300 miles on it over 6 rides) but it was working for about 4 weekends of my 4 months of ownership. Never going with that trash company again. Just got my...
