After reading about abs , intelligent automatic gear selection and electronic braking all in there infancy on emtb ,and in maybe in a few years maybe become common place
All would make you faster rider on the trail and downhill , what racer ever said dont put that new gizmo on my bike it might...
Well i have two planned for Saturday ,both easy rides (knackerd ! hard week! ) but still need my fix of outdoors
Morning ride
Glen Loin and Coiregrograin, Arrochar
Afternoon ride
The Mell circuit, Glen Finglas
So you dont want to see any new tec then ,just make old tec more upgradable ,you know thats just not going to happen
and as i said this just interested me and thought others might be interested as well
I do get what you mean .i hate that as well ,i try to fix things or get thing fixed as much as poss, and i do think companies need to do more to keep parts serviceable for longer
but new tec will always keep coming out at a rate of knotts and i do like new tec and thought this looked interesting
I am no expert and would not want to recommend any bike ,just because whats good for one is bad for another
what i would say is find yourself a good bike shop that will spend time with you ,to get you the bike that suits you
good luck on your search
For me ,yes i would give it go , and if it makes me faster well thats a bonus ,as for it takes away from skill set , well imo utter tosh it just changes the skill set , dealing with extra speed harder braking etc etc
With the cost of living going up at some rate of knots those are probably worth about £ 150 nowadays
all joking aside i am looking to see if i can find some decent peddles and shoes ithat are on sale just to keep costs down to see if i like them or not
yeh ! these seem very popular choice along with others from the range as do their shoes ,can get spendy real fast though
i dont mind spending the money as long as they are right ,but at this point still wondering what to do , do i spend the money and take a chance
will let you know how i get...
