The Bosch does not whine, its a different noise which to be fair I've not really noticed the motor noise when riding, I've also not noticed any knocking on rough terrain. Power wise it seems a lot stronger and faster to respond, I was on a step hill the over day and had to move to a flatter...

Which is exactly as the Bosch upgrade is acting, however it needs an update to make it responsive on technical elements rather than full on, it really needs a technical mode for when do don’t want all that power.

I’m going to say no, In my view on an ebike it’s better to have stronger longer lasting parts rather than save a few grams.

Mine seems to do it in all modes, but that does not seem to be the feedback others are providing, I going to chat with my LBS and see if they can reload it and if the issue I'm seeing is consistent with other bikes.
