    End of Trek Rail ???

I bought mine from epicenter. I’m only 4/5 miles away from them. The owner says many parts are unobtainable for many lines right now. I think we have all become used to instant availability next day delivery etc, and maybe it will be that way again just not right now.

    2021 Trek Rail 7 - Brake Upgrade

I just fitted the Zeb ultimate and it did not use the adapter for the 200mm rotor. I just ordered the 220 magura platter and I am hoping it will fit with the previous adapter the Yari came with. I’ll probably end up with a big one on the back when the mg45 comes back in stock.

Just added mine at the sand hills. Shows on the map where I added, but not the one displayed on the thread. Might need to go to the WWW and circulate first.

Trek Rail upgrades, what have you done?

For those running larger than 200 stock brake rotors, Care to share info of where and what you bought? I know I can now easily run a larger front since I put on the ZEB, but the rear already has a spacer/ adapter. I am thinking anything that helps braking is a good thing. ( stock rail 7 brakes...

    My Rail, Resting on Stuff

It's Fantastic. I could tell from my driveway, but on the trail today I was shocked at how much better I felt in the saddle peddling full seat height. I had been raising and lowering my seat like crazy and love how it feels like a bmx with the seat all the way down, was riding mid position a...

My thoughts after a week Rail7 Edited to include upgrades.

I was initially thinking the Onyx hub for silent action, but for the price and ease of install I figured try it. From the looks of it it doesn't make it a weaker hub. Look up some of the info and I think you would agree. Some people have mentioned these hubs fail, I try and play nice so my...

MP, Yeah that's what I figure if its loose you will know. If there is sufficient lock tight it usually is pretty hard to remove, ( at least the first few turns) so if it gets loose more than once then further investigation would be needed. Ride report from the trails- I am very glad I put this...

My thoughts after a week Rail7 Edited to include upgrades.

I did some fiddling and found the front much more compliant with 5psi less, but it rode crappy and too low in the front. I went to the LBS and was asking about the 170 air spring and 2.1 damper. all in with $100 labor I was hesitant to say the least. SO he pulls out a Zeb Ultimate and offers me...

My thoughts after a week Rail7 Edited to include upgrades.

I checked the crank torque yesterday and my left side barely budged with the drive side tight, both sides tight on my wife’s ride, but she has less miles. Belt drive had been great on my SS no need for anything except ride. Now I need to think chain and how to keep it happy.

My thoughts after a week Rail7 Edited to include upgrades.

Oh yeah I forgot. After my first or second ride I found sand in my gears and chain, so I used my chain cleaning tool and cleaned off the sand. I then used some teflon lube and squirted it on a few times, then wiped it dry. Now I return home and have no more sand on my chain and sprockets. I am...

My thoughts after a week Rail7 Edited to include upgrades.

I have been riding since the 70's before mountain bikes were a 'thing'. Bought a Wicked Fat Chance in about 1991. Used to ride almost every day. Fast forward with marriage, 2 kids, ect. Been through a few other bikes since, but kept the wicked till a couple years ago. About 9 years ago I had a...

Anyone have issues with their cranks coming loose?

Thanks. I have not serviced a bottom bracket on my bikes. I had sealed bearings on my Fat chance Wicked and they lasted 30 years or something crazy.

Anyone have issues with their cranks coming loose?

I saw that, but it makes me thing both sides are right hand threads.?

Anyone have issues with their cranks coming loose?

Rail 7. Is the left side non drive side right handed normal threads and the right side left handed threads? I have about 55 miles and want to check the torque, but I don't want to loosen them to find out I went the wrong direction.
