I think you are missing a major point, plenty of folks have these bikes and have no issues.
We don't start posts saying my bikes fine today and worked as normal. We don't need help with that, so you only get discussion when products go wrong.
It's not the cells it's what the battery management circuit can do.
You are of course correct bosch Don't list a 110v 6A charger, weirdly they have made them market specific. Normally the handle 110 to 240v and all that's different is the power cord. Strange.....
on @R120 's advice I picked up the Endura Humve's for £50 From CRC.
They have now arrived - I think the pricing was fair and the quality is good. They are very comfortable, I'm very happy with them.

16 stone is 101Kg so the quite a bit below the limit, how much wash you planning of putting in your backpack?
Even 17stone is approx 108Kg 10kg should be enough for a rain mac, bottle of water and a sandwich
