Ha! Small world. Laguna/OC is one of my usual riding spots. Are you on Strava or on the Pole owners group on FB? I know of 3 other Voimas in OC and my buddy is one of them. Maybe I’ll see you out there sometime. 🤘🏻😎
No, but I do know someone who is currently using a Speedfun in their smart system. No display needed, no countdown and it’s reasonably priced.

Yeah, it looks like all of the race motors they have are now only an option for the S-Onni and as of right now, they are not an option for the Voima. Glad I have mine already too!
I’ve bought 2 K1 Voima’s, both framesets, (V1 then later V2 Race ID) so I could build them up how I want. But whichever you order, don’t pay extra for DHL express shipping. Just get regular shipping. It’s much faster, way less expensive and you won’t have any issues. If you have DHL ship it, it...
Yeah, there is really no valid reason to have less travel on a Voima. It pedals so good and climbs so good as is, why would you give up travel and loose DH capabilities when you won’t gain anything else? I think Pole is really just trying to appeal to people that want something more conventional...
It seems like a whole lot of overthinking going on here. I’m sure belts will be fine. Rear triangles are not going to flex to the point of derailing a belt. Tensioners will be placed out of harms way and there will be options for chains for people that don’t want a belt. I’m just looking forward...
Light weight AND full power is what I strive for. It handles better, accelerates faster and brakes faster and even has better range. Win win in my book. It’s like an F1 car vs a big 4x4. I’ll take the F1. But to each their own. 🍻
Yeah, I have no issues locking up my rear 200mm brake with 1 finger all day with my Hope brakes. 223 is overkill for me on the rear and I can’t even imagine using a 246mm on the rear. I’d be skidding every turn.
What’s the air temperature, gear are you in and what’s your approximate rpm? I think that can sometimes happen if it’s hot outside and you’re not in a low enough gear and also at a slower rpm. If thats not your case, maybe it’s a battery issue?
I’m all for lightening the load, but I also want full power and that’s why my Voima is 50lbs with a 40 on it. I intend to lighten the load even more once I get a 500w battery and spacer for shorter rides or bike park days. It will be cool to pop in either battery depending on the ride I’m doing...
Monitor your battery better and know your approximate range and distances in advance. If you’re running low, switch to a lower power mode. Or use a larger battery. Do you run out of gas in your car too? 😃👍🏼
Rob, if you haven’t already done so, please talk to Leo about this and see if you can nudge him in the right direction to either use the Pinion MGU with belt drive, or see how close Bosch is to developing their own and tell him we want it in the Voima or Sonni! either one or both! Since I...
Not to mention cassette and chainring wear and replacement as well as the chain. And bonus, there is no chain slap with a belt, no belt stretching, it’s lighter and it’s much quieter! Win, win, win!
Just shows you how ridiculous regular group set prices are. Add the fact that the MGU is virtually indestructible and maintenance free, why would anyone not get the MGU if it was an option?
Hopefully whoever sells them will give the customer the option of which one they want. I agree that 12 speed isn’t really needed with e-power. Lighter weight with fewer moving parts is what I would choose. That’s why I’m currently running 11 speed with 10-42 x 32 on mine. It’s much lighter and...
My thoughts exactly. Also the Voima has more clearance from the chain than the Onni/Sonni which looks like you would get plenty of chain slap on the lower swingarm link.
