I think for me, a longer chainstay works better with a slightly shorter reach and higher cockpit. The K1 Voima has 455mm chainstays and 450 reach, so the 10mm stem and 40mm rise bars feels really good. So even with my upright riding position, I can still get enough weight over the front wheel to...
I think the only one he is making right now is for the 500. But I bet if you asked him and there was more interest, he would probably make you one. He also made me some 3d printed brake tools for my hope brakes after I asked him if he could, since hope had the pdf files available on their website.
Yeah, I really like the short stem. It actually helps my front end traction since I have more weight over the front wheel. I tend to ride centered and more upright on the bike and I like a higher cockpit, (more moto style) so the shorter and taller cockpit helps this. I also have a reduced...
Different strokes for different folks! I guess I’m pretty lucky in that I seem to be able to get away with light stuff that most people can’t. I’ve also had no problems climbing up super steep stuff with my 11 speed 10-42 x 32 and the 27.5 x 2.8’s. The Bosch race motor makes easy work of that...
It’s all in the build. Every single part was picked to be as light as possible, while still being durable for me. Link to build below. 🍻
2023 Pole⚡️Voima⚡️Race Pack
I had the same issue recently too with my motor cutting out on rough chunky climbs and cutting out/shutting off on rough chunky DH. When I got home, I took the battery out, blew out the whole battery compartment and battery plug with my compressor. Then I added foam strips around the sides and...
It’s funny you mentioned doing this, because I’m in the process of doing the same thing to my Voima, which is currently 50lbs with a Fox 40 up front, (most Voima’s are in the 54-57lb range depending on the build). So with the change, I should be around 47lbs. I already ordered my 500w battery...
Man, the woman’s and men’s elite final were awesome! And with Gwin in the commentary box it was so much better! And Dakota, that was an amazing run! Merika! F-yeah!🤘🏻😎
I agree with the riders, it’s total BS. The track was very rideable as you can see from this practice run just before the race was canceled, (Dom on Instagram: "Loudenville “unrideable” World Cup track. Closest we got to racing today. 🤷🏼♂️ Few sections from my first run this morning on...
I’m ok with Rick’s commentary, it’s Cedric’s that I have the problem with. It’s just terrible. He’s hard to understand and he talks just to talk without adding any useful information. And I agree, the weather sucked and definitely changed the outcome for the last 10 riders.
😂 it’s pretty dry and dusty here in So Cal, so just a quick wipe down with a clean soft cloth is all it takes to keep it clean. And i’d love to get some good action shots, but I don’t have any photographers to follow along to get the action shots. Maybe when I go to the bike park, but not on the...
This is the top of one of of my favorite local DH runs. “The Luge”, it’s a fast Single track roller coaster ride to the bottom with some exposure on the right side, some small drops, chunk and some little jumps. it’s short but sweet and the Voima just eats it up!
That course looks really fun. Some faster flowy bits and some nice little technical chunky stuff with some gaps and jumps mixed in. I’d like to ride that course!
Wow! .75 in 100 miles is ridiculous! I’ve been running XO/XX 11 speed drivetrain, (XO 10-42 cassette, 32t Garbaruk chainring with XX shifter and derailleur) with great durability and shifting on my last 2 Voima’s. I had 800 miles on the first Voima and I have over 200 miles on the new one and...
