It's only a main frame triangle fault that would be a real pain to rtb on my Commencal (or pretty much any direct brand bike) and require a full strip down. Everything else including chainstay/seatstays etc can be sent separately.
I also bought a highly discounted hybrid style ebike for my Dad...
I could post up on here how to get a Thule tow bar rack like Akiwi's off the back of a car without the key in under a minute but that wouldn't be wise. The manufacturer lock is only really designed to stop the clamping mechanism working loose as you drive. As Gary says, if an experienced thief...
There's always someone in the car when I run into a shop but the bike locks on the tow bar racks themselves are that poor they can rip them off at traffic lights or parked up that quickly that someone in the car doesn't have time to react. I'm only trying to create enough time to either drive...
The trails are in the hills around Coaraze about 25km north of Nice as Rob mentioned before. The trails around there are insane and not just in that valley. There's a great ride you can do all the way over to the Col du Torini if any of you are rally fans.
Simple version is the bars will come up and back a bit. It will only feel higher but I was trying to clarify what the Reach measurement for @dirt huffer and how it will change.
Watch the spacing between two boost spaced bikes on older racks with wheel troughs. The clearance between the bikes can get tight enough that there isnt any and you need some padding forced between them.
I also run a beefy 12mm diameter cable lock similar to the one below through the bikes...
I use one of these. The stem mount has a quick release to take the case off quickly. I have the mount sitting down on the stem for longer rides with a lot of navigation and it doesn't move or vibrate at all. I've used it some pretty horrid weather with no issues. I also put the phone in the...
Nice vid Rob, would have loved to have seen your face when they got in touch asking you if you wanted to go. It's a lovely looking bike but not for me due to the in frame battery and clown bike wheel sizing.
Stems have nothing to do with reach. It's measured to the center top of the headtube. If you fit a longer fork stack increases about 60% of the extra length and reach shortens by about 45% of extra axle to crown length at the ~65deg angles found on todays 6" bikes.
The actual measurements are...
I dont know what driver you need. But keep in mind SRAM dont certify XD freehubs or XG cassettes for ebike use. After putting that up I will say I have this setup on my lighter XC/gravel/bikepaking wheelset but drop all the assist levels down when their on the bike and pay special attention not...
I've got 2.35" Ardent Races on mine to be used like a gravel/XC bike but theyre also available in 2.2". They roll fast but still allow you to keep the speed up on some rougher trails. If those are too wide then there's the lightning fast rolling Maxxis Pace tyres coming in at 2". The Ardent...
Was that a parts transplant not counting the cost of bits you already had in the garage?
Ditching the DD tyres and going tubeless with EXO casings is going to save around a lb each end even dropping down to 2.35" tyres. You've already said you compensate for the casing and volume by running...
Got 2 sets of wheels for mine and theres a huge difference riding them back to back.. The 30mm rims and DD Maxxis tyres that came on it which are great AM, enduro or whatever you want to call riding rocky, baby head filled Welsh/Lakeland/Alpine trails these days. The other wheelset is much...
