I'm happy with the Thok Mig I bought in Febuary and its well within your budget.
Would recommend if you buy direct from Europe to use a credit card with 0% currency transfer on foreign transactions. Even paypal charge a fee, and just a small pecentage at that value is a fair chunk of cash.
The vr is definatly the better bike and will most likely be more forgiving to ride. Very much doubt it will leave u wanting for more. Sure you will enyoy wichever you choose.
From memmory there are a few differences mainly the motor and suspension is probably where most that money goes but depending on how you use it, you may not notice the difference if it's just casual light duty riding.
Don't pair the bike through the phone bluetooth menu, if it is a paired device there... remove it, then launch the app and connect to the bike from within the e-tube app. That's what works for me.
Thats cool it may be so, but it's practical and removable in 2 seconds flat that's more than enough reason for me.
My bike is a tool to be used and maintained would rather a challenge than a fashion accessory :p:p
Not sure about range but it definitely keeps the water and dirt off from the battery, seals and connectors. Even after a wash it remains pristene underneath. For those reasons i would not be without it :)
Thanks All Mountain for the tour and everybody for organizing.
Was good to meet you all, hope any injuries heal quick.
Won't be home for a few days but if I have any good shots I'll post them when I get the chance.
Dry, then Silicone grease the connectors to prevent water ingress.
Vaseline might do but as it's petroleum baised it may deteriorate the rubber/plastic.
I heard a while back Honda are pioneering work with flouride battery wich has the potential to be 10 times more energy dense than lithium ones!
I'm not sure how close they are to being consumer viable, the the difficulty is getting them to work correctly below 100-odd °C.
I have a Thok MIG and am very happy with it.
With the spec of the "rr" I'm sure it will be an amazing bike.
There is a two year warranty on the bike and that includes a crash replacement if the frame is damaged.
From my experience they have a customer centric attitude, reply promptly to any...

They can correct errors and improve protocols development team/item testers did not account for, as well as ensuring compatibility...
It's worth mentioning that if your battery is going to be left unused for a while it's best left in a cool place and it is important to store it at around 50% to 80% charge to achieve a good open-terminal resting voltage in the cells.
A fully charged battery is not a happy battery but will be...
It's all done now, hard wired with a diode in line (byv28-200) to drop the voltage to 4.9/5.2v and is working fine, doubt I will use the last 2.5a mode but tested it works briefly.
Overall pleased with the result.
Could also be the angle of the bars, a bad angle will cause pressure points in the palms. There are grips avalible that are flatter towards the ends to help with pressure sores.
