I had the gurgling noise on my Sram Code brakes. I google’d and it’s apparently not uncommon. Called the “turkey gobble”. You don’t have to necessarily do anything about it as it shouldn’t affect performance but my LBS looked into it and got the noise to go away.
Do it! That’s not far off in terms of weight difference.
And I agree with you, the Levo SL would be the one I’d looking at as well. Even the first gen as you mentioned.
I have an EXe which is not heavy at all. But my mind has started to think of ways I could get this bike to be even lighter…...
OneUp now has a e-bike bar that is compatible with certain systems. Edited to add: “Our Carbon E-Bar has internal routing for Shimano STEPS switch units and Bosch LED Remote.”

That’s the one I got, even though it’s not compatible with...
Another vote for the One Up in the 35mm rise version. They only come in a 800mm length but of course you can cut them down to 780.
I am impressed with how they compliant they are. At first I was worried about going from a 31.8mm to 35mm clamp size, as my hands are quite sensitive to vibrations...
Another vote for trying one thing at a time, unless you already know you need/ want a new stem for whatever reason.
It would also help you to dial in the fit if needed after getting your new handlebar.
I did in the end get a new stem after a new handlebar because I realized I needed a bit...
Thanks for the thorough review and write up!
“It is about balance and control and this bike has it in spades.”
I am pretty intrigued at this point… I suspect I will get the G2 SL at some point, because I would really enjoy such a bike.
I never really cared about the motor noise on my previous...
Congrats! And let us know what differences you feel.
I got a Fuel EXe earlier this year. I’m very impressed with the Trek but also had a great experience with my previous Specialized e-bike (Vado SL) and so am curious.
Me.
E-biking has opened up more trails for me.
My work hours are pretty long, so unfortunately I’m not biking as much as I’d like. But e-biking helps me ride more than I otherwise would.
My Orbea Oiz M10 TR.
I never thought a bike could feel so good. I feel like I’m flying on this bike.
It’s so nimble, precise and confidence inspiring. I feel like I can “dance” with it” which is funny because I’m very clumsy by nature. It just makes me feel like a better rider than I am...
Deity Supracush. Super comfortable for a regularly shaped grip. Part of the reason for that is that it is a thicker diameter grip.

Report on his and hers Fuel EXe’s, after 125 miles (200 km).
His: 9.5; fully Ride Wrapped; stock for now. He will be inheriting a couple of parts that came with my bike: a carbon Bontrager handlebar that (unexpectedly) came with my 9.7, a Bontrager Elite stem, an Arvada Elite seat.
Hers...
