What did you buy your ebike this week?

I had the gurgling noise on my Sram Code brakes. I google’d and it’s apparently not uncommon. Called the “turkey gobble”. You don’t have to necessarily do anything about it as it shouldn’t affect performance but my LBS looked into it and got the noise to go away.

    Analog MTB VS Light E-MTB

Do it! That’s not far off in terms of weight difference. And I agree with you, the Levo SL would be the one I’d looking at as well. Even the first gen as you mentioned. I have an EXe which is not heavy at all. But my mind has started to think of ways I could get this bike to be even lighter…...

    35mm rise handlebar

OneUp now has a e-bike bar that is compatible with certain systems. Edited to add: “Our Carbon E-Bar has internal routing for Shimano STEPS switch units and Bosch LED Remote.” https://www.oneupcomponents.com/products/e-carbon-handlebar That’s the one I got, even though it’s not compatible with...

    35mm rise handlebar

Another vote for the One Up in the 35mm rise version. They only come in a 800mm length but of course you can cut them down to 780. I am impressed with how they compliant they are. At first I was worried about going from a 31.8mm to 35mm clamp size, as my hands are quite sensitive to vibrations...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Congrats, cool upgrade. So all you did was switch the levers? You didn’t have to mess with re-cabling things, etc.?

Levo SL Gen 1 Levo SL 2023 Megathread

I ride my Orbea Oiz TR as much as I ride my Trek Fuel EXe too. I noticed riding both makes me appreciate the strengths of each one more. :)

    What bars do you run?

Another vote for trying one thing at a time, unless you already know you need/ want a new stem for whatever reason. It would also help you to dial in the fit if needed after getting your new handlebar. I did in the end get a new stem after a new handlebar because I realized I needed a bit...

Levo SL Gen 1 Levo SL 2023 Megathread

Thanks for the thorough review and write up! “It is about balance and control and this bike has it in spades.” I am pretty intrigued at this point… I suspect I will get the G2 SL at some point, because I would really enjoy such a bike. I never really cared about the motor noise on my previous...

Levo SL Gen 1 Levo SL 2023 Megathread

Congrats! And let us know what differences you feel. I got a Fuel EXe earlier this year. I’m very impressed with the Trek but also had a great experience with my previous Specialized e-bike (Vado SL) and so am curious.

Who bought an e bike for more fitness? More speed?

Me. E-biking has opened up more trails for me. My work hours are pretty long, so unfortunately I’m not biking as much as I’d like. But e-biking helps me ride more than I otherwise would.

    Battery Life - 2023 Trance X Advanced E+ Elite

Did you just get the bike? I found my Fuel EXe’s battery life seemed to significantly improve after the first few charges.

    What's your "best" bike ..

My Orbea Oiz M10 TR. I never thought a bike could feel so good. I feel like I’m flying on this bike. It’s so nimble, precise and confidence inspiring. I feel like I can “dance” with it” which is funny because I’m very clumsy by nature. It just makes me feel like a better rider than I am...

Fuel EXe Are stiff cranks normal on TQ motor?

That video was very helpful. No, that’s not normal. Both the level of resistance and the noise.

Fuel EXe Are stiff cranks normal on TQ motor?

I think you may want to have your bike looked at, I haven’t noticed anything different on my Trek Fuel EXe versus my other bikes…

What grips and saddle do you run?

Deity Supracush. Super comfortable for a regularly shaped grip. Part of the reason for that is that it is a thicker diameter grip. https://www.deitycomponents.com/supracush_grips.html Ergon GA3 grip for one with the mini-wings. https://www.ergonbike.com/en/article-ga3.html

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Report on his and hers Fuel EXe’s, after 125 miles (200 km). His: 9.5; fully Ride Wrapped; stock for now. He will be inheriting a couple of parts that came with my bike: a carbon Bontrager handlebar that (unexpectedly) came with my 9.7, a Bontrager Elite stem, an Arvada Elite seat. Hers...
