Description I’m selling my Large Orbea Rise M10 carbon lightweight eMTB (29” wheels) that I’ve owned since new with all paperwork available. It has covered only 1500...
I would like an X2 on my Rise, but have been told the air can just contacts the frame at the end of the travel. Could be worth testing if you can get hold of one, as frames all vary slightly with the carbon layup.
I used some random washers from my toolbox. If you aren't sure or don't have parts around, just install it as Orbea say. If anything happens you will be covered by warranty if done correctly.
Sounds like a bad connection/loose wire to me - if you unplug the extender the bike turns off, so yours is likely doing that over bumps etc. I'd warranty the extender and cable if I were you.
I've used the extender a few times and think it is a great way to extend the range of uses for the Rise. If you want to ride in boost with full fat bikes, put the extender on. For shorter or slower rides, leave it at home. Best of both worlds really...
It looks like the Shimano part number for them is Y8KT98010, I just have some spares in the cupboard as every time you buy rotors they come with more bolts!
My factory alloy bolt sheared at 3nm, luckily it was easy to get out. I replaced them with steel rotor bolts (everyone has a drawer full of those spare!) and added a washer. I went for the full 5nm as instructed due to the weight of the battery.
It sounds like sticking with the e*thirteen alloy ring and OEM chain guide is the best option then.
@Steve149 let us know how you get on with 36t - I would like to go to that but 2mm clearance doesn’t sound ideal, I had a friend who’s chainring rubbed the chainstay during hard cornering and...
Hi, thanks for confirming. Is the 32t fitted to the rise the standard 32t alloy ring you offer, or a special version as someone mentions above? If standard then the 34t should be compatible with the chain device. There’s no way a 38t will clear the chainstay though!
@e*thirteen Components any comments on chainring suitability for the Rise? If the factory fitted model is a custom one are there any plans for a 34t version?
