My bike has done well over 1400 kms on trails with jumps and drops etc........think I have taken the battery out 2 or 3 times so faR, but mostly dont need to.
I hope the new latch shown above improves matters............my reservation is that the modification makes the latch less vulnerable to...
It would be amazing if the complete unit comprising wheel/tyre hub and rotor did not move very slightly when some lateral force is applied...that need only be a few degrees so apparently riding straight.........and more prevalent on a high grip surface like tarmac. There is typically only about...
The only time I ride tarmac is if I do an XC ride rather than in the forest and there is 1 mile of tarmac (which is usually pretty muddy anyway!!) only before going offroad...the rest is singletrack or bridleway. I have also opted for Max Terra to get a bit more wear from it.
I don't have answers...just questions!! What is curious for me is that I have a Whyte e160 RSX with Bosch Smart system ...so 750w/h battery secured by the same latch and I have never had either the cutting out problem or damage to the latch....and I can insert the battery with the bike upright...
Don't know but another option is the Fox Float x....also a piggy back. I have the x2 on my e 180rs and the Float x on my E160RSX......both work really well. I think both will fit but both restrict you to a small drinks bottle if you use one.
Maxxis shortie 3c 120tpi DD to replace the DHR11 on my Whyte E160RSX. .......going to be needed now for a couple of months. My mate is getting a Specialized Hillbilly for his Levo so it will be interesting to compare.
I always find these sort of conversations a little strange. Why on earth would pay the premium for an emtb over a mtb and then ride with assist off or in ECO? I accept some riders are interested in muscle burn and heart rate etc but they are surely riding mostly hard pack relatively easy terrain...
I seem to remember that Trek use their own sensor rather than the Bosch one and it is dual pole (sends 2 pulses per wheel revolution) ......so might be a bit more sensitive to mud or trail debris blocking the magnet or sensor .
I had a stick pull the sensor from its holder on my bike once. I...
Interesting as well that they suggest refitting the battery with the bike turned upside down and do a series of pushing the last 20mm or so a few times to ensure correct connection to the main plug, before closing the latch. They experienced the motor cut outs and subsequently a damaged latch. I...
assuming the bike worked OK before you removed the battery....and the battery out of the bike charged OK ......I would think the battery has failed to make a good connection with the plug at the top of the downtube. It would be worth checking it is properly secured to the downtube.
504 is probably a general code for when the system detects an anomoly...certainly that could be caused by a deresriction device but equally it could be caused by an incorrect speed sensor reading..............and that could either be due to some damage on the speed sensor cable or some...
one brand of chin mount is Telesin. For a chesty mount either get the official Gopro one ( if you are a dentist!) or look on Ebay. I have 2 chesty mounts. One is a chinese copy from Ebay ( it is identical to the official Gopro one..probably is the Gopro one!) and the other is in fact a modified...
The lower the mount the better gopro shows changes in elevation and a better impression of speed. In that respect the chesty wins. The downside with chesty is that you need to adjust its angle when you go from being seated to up on the pedals. The chin mount is best second choice. It benefits...
fairly typical after a few weeks for a derailleur system to need a djustment and it is typically caused by the outer cable stops contracting slightly as they settle into their final shape. Normally a small adjustment on the cable adjuster on the lever is all that is required. try a couple of...
The bead does not look properly seated on that rim all across the section shown in your photo. The raised ridge on the tyre wall typically sits only a bout 3mm from the rim.
my bike is Bosch Smart System....previously I had a Levo. On both I used the relevant app to set the bike up as I want initially then never touched it again!! The apps get more and more complex in an attempt to add more features, most of which hold no interest for me and as someone who spent a...
just edited the a bove.....I edited it incorrectly before!! So just to be clear, on a LWB a bike mounted on a fork mount fits easilly between the tailgate/barn doors and the second row of seats with room to spare whereas on a SWB using the same mounting arrangement the rear wheel has to be...
