....deactivate the motor speed sensor....? Well here is a weird thing! My Bosch Smart System bike has the standard Bosch sensor/cable and magnet on the brake rotor. I had an instance where the sensor was completely pulled away from its housing and was left dangling from its cable on the floor. I...
.....Vitus, Nukeproof.
I think the majority of the list is the UL ( USA) Approval.................and I would guess it only applies to the electrical components rather than the Bike per se. There are no safety standards for cycle brakes, standard drivetrain, handlebars etc that I know of.
...and Whyte...although the CE marking is only valid in the UK until Dec 24 at which date a UK standard will apply (with the CE approval accepted in the interim, and possibly in parallel thereafter).
Bikes/Ebikes do not need or undergo Type Approval so they will have no set standards for...
On all my bikes.....Levo, Cube Stereo Hybrid and 2 Whyte bikes, I use a Mudhugger front mudguard fitted to the back of the bike. It fits to the seat stays and covers about half the diameter of the wheel with the front fitting down to the bar a cross the chainstays. Usually that front end has to...
First ride today with a new Max Grip DD Shortie on the back.............still Assegai on the front. Really impressed! I ride mostly in the forests and whilst far cleaner than elsewhere trail conditions are soft and lots of roots get exposed. A key requirement in the forest is to have effective...
Bell bottoms were OK..............based on sailors pants and therefore easily able to fold the bottoms up to the thigh for scrubbing the desks...................or for avoiding getting them stuck in a bicycle chain :p
I did some research on this both in Ebike specific articles and general electronics type articles and forums. If you do that you will find as many variations of opinions as in this post!!
What does seem to be a common theme is the role that capacitors play in the transformer and I would say the...
ta!.....in terms of my knowledge of fasteners I believe the reason it is ally is so that it can achieve larger thread friction despite having very few threads....at a medium torque. It is for that reason that I believe it is a single use nut with the threads actually stretched on first torque up...
it depends whether the wall socket being used is switched or not. If the wall socket is unswitched ( ie live) you should plug the charger into the bike/battery first, then the wall. If the wall socket is switched it does not matter which you do first as long as the wall socket is switched...
the quality of the blade makes all the difference, and for maximum effectiveness the tool needs to be wedged a gainst the timber to be cut using the "heel". Where the tool struggles is on branches/limbs that are not rigidly fixed.........all the energy tends to be translated to vibrating the...
others can correct me if I am wrong but as far as I understand it the Bosch chainring nut is reverse thread.....clockwise to undo it, whereas the Brose is standard thread.....anti clockwise to undo it. D ont know about Shimano or Yamaha etc.
there comes a time in every product development where technology led innovation, especially where it adds little value, ceases to attract a significant market share. EMTBs have been a round for a quite a few years now and frame design/geo has largely settled into a pattern for all brands...
Things to try ..........
The chainring is strong but there is some flex and you only need 1mm so a strong screwdriver to act as lever...........the chain needs to be released upwards, so whilst applying a little leverage on the chainring you also need another lever to push the chain...
Not sure if anything has changed in that case. I have a 2023 E160 RSX ( 29er) bought in August 2022, and the cables running down the downtube are all held in 3 ( maybe 4?) cable clips attached to a cable runner. My battery slides in and out with no resistance at all, and the cables are...
afraid not! The criterea for EPACS was decided on the basis of allowing those motor equipped bikes that complied with the regulations to be classed as bicycles rather than mopeds or motorcycles. It was a hard fought battle with the agencies in support of preventing such bikes being classed as...
one other issue usually found on brand new bikes is the cable connection into the LED Remote not properly connected.....presumably when the bike was assembled. All the connections on the Smart System are the same. They have a white mark that aligns with the same on the component in order to...
Assegai EXO+ max grip up front............Maxxis DD Max grip Shortie on the back ( replaced a DHR11 which is a great tyre but not in muddy conditions).
new motor, new firmware. Just like every brand they continue to develop firmware to defeat derestriction devices. I assume in this case the component scan history can no longer be erased by doing a TCU reset.
