I have a 2020 Whyte E180 RS with the gen2 Bosch CX Performance motor .......ie Purion controller. I also have a Whyte E160 RSX which is the same motor but with the Bosch Smart System.
I love both bikes! The E180 is especially capable when the ride involves steep descents and/or really rough...
the OP stated he was a big fella and wanted "more 00mph and cooling".............and could get no definitive answer whether going 220 would breach his warranty. So I would not risk going 220 but rather fit a thicker 2 piece 203 or even 200 rotor.
There is also a lot to be gained by improving...
there is nothing in a head set regardless how knackered that would make that noise. The noise is the sound of 2 metals supposedly bonded together but with slight movement...............so the noise is most definitely the fork steerer loose in the fork crown.
It is easy enough to prove by...
Wrong forum!! ...but since you ask a waist harness will always ride up if you do not have the narrow hips/flat belly/wide shoulders body type. The answer is to get a seat harness with a relatively high hook..................usually described as a freeride design rather than slalom.
learn not to drag the rear brake if that is what he is doing.....if not, and heat build up is the main problem, fit a thicker 2 piece rotor of the same size.
your bearings should be marked on their outer edge with the bearing reference number. Just use a bearing supplier and look for the reference numbers. Most suppliers offer a choice of budget and higher quality bearings. An example of higher quality options is the Enduro brand.
Is this a Haibike...
There are only 2 benefits in using a larger rotor. One is the greater mass of metal overall which would help to dissipate heat...although I think that difference would be minor and probably more effectively achieved using a thicker rather than bigger rotor.
The bigger benefit of a larger rotor...
Hi.....its a WillWorx Superstand ( WillWorx.com)...............and it is by far the best made and stable single wheel stand in my opinion and they do one that will take a 29er wheel with 2.5/2.6 tyre whilst many of the alternatives are too small for that combo. I have a few different stands...
the problem with colout matching is that virtually all paints change colour slightly due to UV and even due to use of shampoo and polish. A pro car repair shop will usually use a spectrophotometer to get an exact colour match.....and even then will usually only respray a complete panel/section...
most sports present a risk of injury and all you can do is mitigate such risks. Nothing guarantees complete safety. It does seem however that "sods law" plays a role. Many of my accidents have been at slow speed, unexpected and supposedly at times of least risk!!
assuming your Levo has the later battery connection door secured with a lever, a number of people have found that the seal of that door can prevent a full connection. That is quite possibly your problem. There is probably more info on here if about it and how to resolve if you do a search.
Im sure all are good helmets. I can only comment on the Smith that I use. It is a very high quality helmet and very comfortable and OK in terms of heat in all but the hottest UK weather. One feature I really appreciate is that when used with Smith Goggles the goggle do not mist up. The Smith...
I use an open face helmet for XC rides that dont involve any big descents or jumps etc. Otherwise I wear a full face. I have 2 full face helmets. My main full face is a Smith but that can get a bit hot in the summer so then I wear a MET which is lighter and has more vents. As a bove I sometimes...
Maybe reserve judgement until your claim has had chance to be processed. The shop can do nothing until Trek authorise it and it is no doubt not the only claim the warranty team have on their workload.
almost certainly the upper headset bearing seat has either worn or was always not aligned. The question is one of chicken and egg.............was the fork steerer bent from the outset and it deformed the bearing seat? Or was the bearing seat not aligned and it eventually bent the fork steerer...
Assuming everyone here is buying their bikes from the major EMTB brands we are probably fairly unique in knowing how our batteries are manufactured and by whom, and use chargers designed specifically for each bike. Certainly all my batteries and chargers ( all Bosch) carry the CE accreditation...
@Zimmerframe is exactly right ( even if he is a muppet!).
Communicating in writing is a very specific skill since it lacks all the additional facial, body language, and situational information conveyed in face to face verbal communications. The advent of email, text, whatsapp, forums etc...
