While I couldn’t possibly deem myself to have your lofty talents and agree gravity is never going to be kind to me I find; If the pedal axle is back by the bridge of your foot you cannot get any scoop to pick up the back end. If you try & tip your feet forward enough to scoop they hit the floor...
A couple of years ago I twisted my ankle and had to adopt the above pedalling position for a number of months until it healed. It relieved a lot of stress the regular position imparts around the ankle & lower leg.
It was a temporary thing but I do still find myself using it riding in the...
Yeah it was more than XX1. Like I say I haven’t looked in a long while, they probably have come down as they didn’t really take off. I think the gear spread is a bit much for E8000 probably more suited to the torquier Brose.
The big downside to the EX1 groupset was its stunning cost. I haven't looked recently but the cassette was originally about £400.
@SquireRides suggestion of looking at Box Components is a good idea. You will definately want more range than the old 8spd offerings.
@Kiwi in Wales it would be interesting to find out the reason. Seems odd though when other manufacturers are putting out bikes with the TQ motor. Presumably they are also using regular MTB drivetrains etc.
You and the other guys with pre-orders in are incredibly patient. All hell was breaking...
To me, being able to charge an extender located inside the frame with the main battery would be an advantage.
I looked back at the BMS you are using and the maximum charge current it can handle is 8amp so you are right to be concerned about a high potential difference.
A work around would be...
You will need to check details on the BMS being used but it should see if the voltage across the terminals is higher than within the extender & go into charge mode.
Is a diode really required on the extender side of the circuit? The BMS should prevent high current equalisation from the main pack to the extender you would then be able to use the main battery to charge the extender. Main battery would just need a little top up afterwards.
No worries.
If your pack is a success I imagine you are going to have folk wanting to buy them, might be easier to justify then??
Good luck, hope it is a success.
It will have to be quite a machine for them to recover the market share they have pissed away while this has been going through gestation. The delivery dates on the website don’t look very promising either.
Having Sam Pilgrim & Tom Cardy riding for them is about all that is keeping their name...
You might want to take a look at the Aulakiria pocket tab welder. Its a great piece of kit for making up packs. A lot more useful than the massive box things from ebay etc and $100 ish.
I've made up a number of 18650 & 20700 packs for RC with it.
Spot Welder Display & Info.
Looking forward to seeing that canyon gap back flipped!!
Most likely one of the slope stylers though as that seems to be the way it is going.
Would be cool if Aggi does well on his Wreckoning.....
Focus built a Jam2 to 18kg for the e-enduro races with E8000 and 378wh so like @Tamas pointed out it kind of makes the Fazua pointless. More assistance & more battery for the same weight.
Anyhow, does removing Boost make the motor less powerful? I was under the impression maximum assistance...
Surprised it didn't all kick off after that YouTuber/TV presenter Emily Hartridge ended up under a truck on her e-scooter in the summer.
It's something the authorities will have to look at with a level head as the push to get everyone onto public transport is going to need to take into account...
