i rode today with a full charge to start. riding with 3 friends on regular bikes. we rode 4 laps of a popular spot that would be similar to a 'trail center'. i wish i could be specific with stats, distances, etc, but not possible. i'll guess about 18 kms. it's a riding area you can't use...
i would never run this bike in the low setting, but would consider changing the air spring to 180. unfortunately its prohibitively expensive on the 38.
what a landscape! lots of off camber, but with lots of traction. looks amazing. especially from my part of the globe which is presently dark, cloudy and wet every day, and barely rideable trails. had to wear sunglasses just to watch the video.
there are exactly no reviews of this bike anywhere. it's kinda strange. nada. so here's mine after 5 rides. great bike. feels very natural at the pedals. seat tube angle is hella steep, like it feels like 80 degrees steep. makes the cockpit slightly short feeling to me, but it's relatively...
exactly. high setting, not too much sag, dial in some low speed compression, half way closed, use firm pedal switch on flatter trails. it's definitely not a trail bike, more of a 'winch and plummet' style bike.
level 1 or 2 would certainly extend range quite a bit. i ride in mostly 3, and i could see using 2 as fitness increases with ride time. level 1 seems pointless. might as well take my regular bike. or 3 for steep uphill, early in the climb when the legs aren't fully warmed up, then down to 2...
so you're pretty happy with the range so far? how much do you weigh? due to weather, i've only been on mine 5 times. last ride was pretty cool, 3°, and i didn't get as far as i expected. i do wonder if the temp played a role. i'm also 105kg/220 and i imagine that doesn't help.
my shop said not to even download the app, so i haven't, just ride. it's dead simple, turn it on and toggle to level 3 and leave it there for the whole ride. if i want to know distance or anything else, i use Trail Forks. so sidestep all kinds of headaches IMO. i know there are many who love all...
in my experience (only this eeb), after a few rides i feel the best way to ride the bike is exactly like a regular mtb. spin lower gears as needed, shift down anticipating steep climbs, shift up anticipating descents, etc. better for your legs, your bike, power delivery, everything. auto mode is...
i set mine to the high setting right away and it still seems extra low. this is due to the weight and is std for all eebs, but also the fact that it's really designed as a self shuttle bike where other eebs are more trail bikes. i did the same, ridden a couple of very janky xc trails (easy to...
