My Kenevo was creaking horribly so I applied a thin coating of grease around the edges of each cover. This solved 99.9% of the creaking. After 3 months it's creaking again and louder then ever. So now I wear head phones.
For me there is 0 benefit to have an E-MTB that sputters and stops assisting at some randomly selected speed. In fact, if I can't hack an E-bike to remove the restriction, I won't buy it!
Pay attention Specialized! I would never buy a motorcycle or automobile that started shutting off the fuel...
I've seen a few Haibikes around here locally, but our group is all Levo's and Kenevo's. We got out again this weekend and had 4 days of really great riding. Trying to enjoy the final days of summer!
Yes, I know you ride e-bikes (or soon will after reading EMTB Forums), but what other, non-E-bikes do you ride?
I've got a 2014 Specialized Enduro Evo Expert for non-motorized riding. I used to love that bike, but I hardly ever ride it now, ha ha. I also occasionally ride my 2006 Honda CRF511.
Made it out again today for some e-bike adventures! Once again I was riding alone since all my e-bike friends had to work today. The air was clear since most of the fires have been put out and I had the entire area all to myself. It was a great day!
Great advise! Unfortunately, my new wheel came with 1.6mm spokes (stock is 2.0mm) so I’ll be sending it back. Riding with the wife’s Levo wheel for now. Here is a pic from today’s ride on a local trail called Sterling Justice.
I just have to say that it is so awesome that this forum is bringing in people from all over the entire planet to discuss one of the best things on the entire planet that you can spend your time doing: E-Biking! I love the different perspectives and comments about the trails and the wildlife...
Yes, I really wish I would have been wearing that! You'll have to let us know what you think once you try it out. I'm curious how comfortable that is in the heat and if you can roll it up tightly so that you can store it in a backpack for the uphill sections in hot weather.
Got some more riding in this last weekend, this time in Leadore Idaho. Got the bike over 10,000 feet and rode to a few lakes.
I had 3 problems on this trip. First, it was very smoky from all the forest fires that are burning in pretty much every direction. Second, I forgot to bring my...
I have tried to get him on one, but he just won't do it. It's crazy! He already rides a road bike, a street motorcycle, and we both have the same Honda motocross bike, so it's not like he just wants to ride pedal bicycles. He will figure out what he is missing out on someday and then ask me...
Wait... golfing?? That is some extreme golfing you're into man!
I kept on riding for about 2 weeks, (big mistake) but then the ribs started hurting so bad I couldn't sleep or walk very well. All the muscles in my back, chest, and neck locked up trying to protect the injury. I took the next 20...
Yeah, some of my friends wondered if it was a booby trap, but it was just an ancient spool of very stiff wire buried in the ground. The crazy thing is that it didn’t even wrap around the pedal, instead it wedged between the pedal and crank at a 45 degree angle and locked solid. That is all it...
