Well, Sram Etap is out for more than 3 years now and we didn't see any "cheaper" options like with Shimano Di2.
I wouldn't get your hops up, to get cheaper Etap groupset option any time soon if at all.
If you think this price is high, check out the price of road grupset with some additinal bits...
This is totally different like new SRAM 12-speed RED eTap AXS. not remotely comparable to anything on the market before. But prices are just ridiculous....(n)
Bike stand is not a problem, but how you lift 20kg plus bike, hold it with one hand until you clamp it in to the setpost.(only good option for Levo)
That is really pain in the ass for me, with no upper body strength, already hurt my wrist doing that.
Yes only Allen Keys.
My guy also told me that the motor have to be removed. But as you can see, with normal to small fingers and help with small screwdriver or something similar, you can easily put the sponge behind the motor into the position, not removing anything.
Well If you have some basic skills, I suggest that you do that. Why?
Because this has nothing to do with opening the motor as you think. First you have to remove non drive crank arm with allen key. Than you just remove the left side cover, which is attached with 3 bolts.
It cannot be more...
It is really not that hard to find this foam and buy it for a few $.
I found this big piece and my friend confirmed it, that Specialized use identical material.
So, why wait for something, that you can do it your self and you can learn in the process, how you would maintain this in the future...
Well, as new Ultegra VS Dura Ace works virtually the same, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, at the and XTR and Dura Ace will be XTR and Dura Ace, it is not the same, far from it. ;)
You do that.
And also do the same thing with the braking pads. If there is any glazing, it is ok to just rub them together, with some added dish soap. With this friction you dont have to use any sand paper and the brake pads will be like new afterwards. I do this with brake pads regularly when...
Maybe in the future will try thinner 1.8-1.85mm rotors. But when I read this replay from Magura didn't want to risk it
Thiner Rotors should not be used under any cirumstances. "could be a potential safety hazard when pads are worn down toward their limits"
There are different opinions...
Well you heard it wrong. Replacing existing Sram setup is really straight forward, whether you go with Shimano or Magura.
With this little helper, you just attach old and new cable and you have the new one in the frame in matter of minutes.

This is my 38T set up. I just put the chain guard in this position.
It will still do the job if necessary. But you are probably over complicating things. Chain won't drop just like that, especially on narrow wide chainring.
That is exactly what i'm observing for the past years. I get more attentive, when I get 1.0 reading on Park Tool CC-2 or when the swing arm is almost flush. Than I take out KMC tool to see what is what....:ROFLMAO:;)
You are totally right. I give the bike to a friend for only 500 m test ride. I thought that he will destroy the drive train and derailleur, thats how hard an load he was shifting under the load.
Some people just don know how to shift. I never shift under the load, even on my light weight road...
Really can't believe that.
If you guys are throwing out the chain at 0.75 mark dont know. 0.75 mark is totally unreliable.
I measured brand new KMC and Shimano chain and Park Tool shown already 0.5 pre stretched.
KMC tool never come close to the worn mark, when Park Tool shown betwen...
