Yes that might be it. I don't see that the size of the frame would be in issue as the bikes must be the same on the back. This was 2019 L size Levo.
Let us know if that was the case.
In most cases yes. Usually from factory, the bikes comes with more or less longer chain, so you have enough to fit a bigger chainring. If not, you just buy new chain.
Position with T38, without any modification, which would be a better option. In all farnes does not do a proper job, but hey, with narrow wide chainring you don't even need it.
We are paying Ferrari money in bicycle world for this "plastic", so this is totally unacceptable. The same is visible on there other road and MTB frames, when they use mat raw finish. If this is intentional, cutting cost or just stupid decision..... using random patches like this, or they think...
Beats me, will see next year, they do like and feel nice stationary. ;)
Will see if I dont sell this and get Comp model, before I even start the build. Bike Looks great but don't like rear shock, no Lock-Out, to get 30% sag I had to put in 240PSI ( 79kg rider) and fork is also little "eeffy"...
Yes you are totally right, but it has to be Sram for one reason?....(n)
I would be perfectly OK with SLX 12 speed or even 11 and leave it like it is, but no...
Europe.
Usually, after finishing the build the bike is for sale as new or little later as used, with smale commision of course.
Winter time is always good time to build something, that is not factory spec. ;)
Thanks.
Well got a buyer who wanted it and it was sold quit fast, just break even.
I have a really good discount on Specialized bikes, so maybe I will "flip" this one before I even start the build.
Was thinking of getting the S-works frameset and build that, with more "budget" oriented fork and...
Another year another build..... Went for the base model.
For now, upgrades will be on the brakes, derailleur+shifter, wheelsets, rotors, cassette, chainring.
Some "bling" arrived before the bike:
Shimano XTR M9100 Rear Derailleur
Race Face 38T
Anyone else building custom 2020 Levo with this frameset?
S-Works Turbo Levo frameset | Specialized.com
Thinking of more "budget" oriented S-works: Shimano XTR 9120 brakes, XTR 9000 11 speed derailleur/shifter, mid range Rockshox fork, cheaper dropper post, DT Swiss E 1900 wheelset, etc.
38T and 10-46 works great.
You can sustain 45-48 km/h for longer periods of time if you want, with cadence around 100-110. But anything more, you will hit 120rpm+ and this is hard to sustain, well for most of use, unless you are Froom. :ROFLMAO:
That is why I never ride Factory build bikes. Always strip them down and build them back up my self, usually with much better components. Never had any issues whatsoever over the years doing that.
Do you think that LBS pay out of there own pocket for new chain and cassette? :ROFLMAO:
Everything is approved from specialized. I got some components that are not Specialized related replace under warranty over the years and guess what, everything was approved by Specialized.(y)
Kodos to Specialized and also KMC.
Some corporation should learn how it is done right by a customer.
Got ride of Sram from a get go, fitted Shimano and never look back.
