Yeah, the cockpit is really small hence my comments about getting a longer stem which has totally changed the feel of mine for the better.

Never seen the white spacer/lug like you have, they normally come with a black spacer and no lug. Ok, not a great picture of the spacer, but the only photo of it I have on my phone!
