I like not being as obsessed with weight that an emtb affords but its still a factor. Not nearly enough of a factor that i'd consider carbon bar. A bar is one part i dont want to have a catastrophic failure on. Aluminium will most likely bend before that happens. Ive always found carbon bars...
This bike is it. Id probably lower it w a mullet to fit me but thats ez, maybe one offset bushing turned so it conteracts the mullet slackening/mullet a hair.
With all these pics in the thread i just noticed you can run a chainring bashguard along with the frame having a nice looking downtube...
I have etnies culvert right now. I like them. I think ill go back to ride concepts though. Theyre soul is more sticky similar to 5ten. Wider toe box on the RC than the etnies. Not sure if theyre wide enough for you. My foot is ok in both
Really happy with my decoy. The frame is bomber(well over 1 million vertical feet of descending on it). I have it at 180 front(one offset bushing and -1⁰ headset). Thats with the yari fork '19 spec. With my 38 fork on it i would skip the headset. Awesome trail bike or park bike. Jumps, drops...
You might want a boxxer or fox 40 set at 190. At 190 on a single crown fork doing drops chances are youll run into creaky CSU's. Triple clamp all day for drops and at 190mm the axle to crown is the same as a zeb/38 at 180
The square taper was a huge red flag for me. This new gen 3 solves that and a ton more. Its looking pretty dialed. I think i could tuck this inside the front triangle on my commencal meta29
I didnt know that about the brose. I wondercif the 500 units thing is a trial run? Us being the guinea pigs. If it works w/o issue, and thats the case(no pun intnd), it'll be much more than 500 id think
Im wondering if polini have guide or program in place to allow people to swap out their shimano system for the polini? I think the mounting pattern is the same for polini and shimano. Polini being rebuildable is another strong feature
22 med canyon probably measures up go a large decoy. Xl , coil, mich dh tire , pedals all add about 400g+.That and a few other parts difference puts you quite close. Michelin dh tires are great, and i think worth it, but theyre heavier than a lot of dh tires Batteries that slide into the...
