I have 21 9.7 and it has been and still is an awesome bike, minor upgrades not really any need for more. I like your color. When I purchased mine (mid pandemic shortages of everything) i was told I could have any color I wanted, as long as i wanted Visibility green. So I love visibility...
I have this light installed on my Trek RAil 9.7. Great light for the price. The wiring is already installed on Trek bikes, you do need to have a LBS enable it in the software. I have done some trail rides and would also like a helmet light rather than a brighter handlebar light
Not sure about down under, but here in the US i am a big fan of Trek and the Bosch motor. I purchased my bike in northern California, i am now in so cal and needed my bosch software configured for a headlight and to get the latest rev. Walk into any Trek dealer (there are lots of them) and its...
How did it fail? I would like to keep track of mine in case something is in the process of going out. I had it apart to install the 108 tooth upgrade and everything looked good
i should have searched first. i now see that this is a configurable setting that the LBS can set to whatever to get you to call them back. there is nothing serviceable on the CX4, however i am going to change the oil on my chain. i actually don't use oil on my change i use the finish line dry...
i have about 350 miles on my 2021 Rail 9.7 with the BOSCH CX4 motor. What is my Kiox telling me with the service required message? Do in need to change the oil on my chain :)
my wife's electra Valego trek bike is like that, light always on. My rail that i just had reconfigured for the light, turns on and off with the kiox button. I think there is a software option for always on or controllable.
You need to take it to the LBS and have them activate the light in the software. i just went through this, using a Lezyne 1000 also. FYI the cable is just inside the frame where the other cables exit on the right. just remove the one screw pull the plastic guide piece out and use a flash...
Took my rail into the LBS for a software update and to enable the headlight. Asked them to ride it and tell me if the slight thump I can feel after coasting and then starting to pedal was normal, they said it was. No noticeable difference after the up date except that I can turn on my Lezyme...
My Fuel had a Fox 150mm transfer seat post. It was noticeably less sticky in the top position than the RAIL with the bontrager 150. I need to get my butt just right to get the the bontrager post to start its travel down. No bends though, can't see how it could bend with out some sort of get...
My FUEL EX hub/axel did not need replacement. During my normal 1 min. hardware check i noticed a little play in the rear wheel when i was pushing on it. I just tightened the axel.
That rear hub looks like possibly your rear axel came loose. An issue reported by many here. i have been checking mine and no problems. however I did have it happen on my 2020 Trek Fuel EX 9.7 that has basically the same hub?
