Understood!
I lived for a few months in Berkshire 4 years ago. A big ride was managing to do 20 miles without getting into a fight with a car driver.
Your views look great. At least you are able to get out and enjoy them at the moment. (y)
Just don't do it!
I moved from a road bike to MTB. Just switched the out-front mount from the road bike without even thinking about it. A high speed crash on the flat (wire strung across a track) took me off and smashed the Garmin to pieces. It was painful to discover that Garmin's...
If you're on lockdown and have plenty of time, try a google search on "charging cycles for lithium ion batteries".
Before you do, lay in a big stock of dried foods, bottled water and, of course, toilet paper...
I think that's very similar to Octa-Mousse, which this chap I follow on YouTube has reviewed. (As he says, don't wash it out in your bathroom if you are married!)
I just had a tyre bead failure (day before the lockdown), so may well end up using this myself (either Octa or Barbieri) as it seems...
No, I wouldn't recommend that at all if you are doing single track. I use a Topeak Journey Trailer. Single wheel at the back. Anything the bike will fit through, the trailer will fit through, but with the occasional grounding out in rock gardens just to keep things interesting. I went for this...
Excellent idea!
@Waynemarlow - this looks like the way for you to solve your time constraint. It's done over 7 days, each around 110km with a bit under 3000m of climbing. And there is an EMTB category!
Inscriptions are still being accepted by the looks of the website, although I don't give...
I think @Jirka_S is referring to the black object strapped to the frame above the bottle. Looks a bit like an Abus foldable lock from here. Could also be your spare foldable tubeless tyre :ROFLMAO:
He's about 40 years younger than me - and maybe just a tad fitter...
I don't think charging will be a problem. He stayed in campsites and hostels each evening, and will have needed to charge his Garmin, cameras and the like. Also, this resource automagically downloads a pdf listing of...
The chap in the video below did it in 12 days on a touring bike (no suspension, no motor). His video gives a pretty good overview. As @Llívia says, the roads/tracks look good and straightforward. It's certainly inspired me!
Thanks. That's useful to know. The blog I was reading is 7 years old and a lot can change in that time (good and bad, but usually bad), so I was concerned that the tracks might have got a lot worse.
Thank you! Found it on a Spanish site. Same price in euros as you pay in $. Methinks someone is being a little naughty here given that it's a Slovenian company. I guess we're paying lockdown markup.
If it keeps coming undone, is it possible that the freewheel hub cone is tightening up and giving you a bit of over-run which reverses the chain tension?
The rear hub on my missus' bike converted itself into a fixie recently which makes me wonder whether this is a possibility. Of course, I...
If ever we get out of lockdown, I'm seriously considering doing this. I've been reading one of the blogs from the trip and I reckon it will be tough going to do their 65kms per day with an EMTB and a spare battery. There seem to be a whole rake of 20+% rocky climbs and I know I don't puff too...
I've been researching this a bit. The BBT-18 comes in octagonal format so you can't use a 36mm socket with it. Instead I will need to buy a 36mm crows foot open spanner to use my torque wrench. The cheapest one of those I can find is 55€. Ouch!
