Its not perfect but definitely better than nothing, I just had a really muddy ride and havent washed my bike yet. Ill post a pic later tonight of the aftermath with just the top section
I have to agree with this. While specialized has been great, there is a widespread issue with these motors and many failures are from normal mtb use. I don't think it's a great idea to be quiet and complacent with this problem, there will come a time when specialized moves on to their next...
Stock seat gave me the worst hemorrhoids of my life no joke, so that was the first to be replaced for me. My upgrade order so far:
WTB Race saddle
Invisiframe
Praxxis 36t chainring
DMR vault pedals
Renthal carbon bar 30mm Rise with stem (not needed per se but just to make it mine)
Tubeless...
I'd like to see some hard numbers, so far from multiple online sources. Fb groups, emtb forums etc are showing about a 30% failure rate. Unacceptable imo.
I felt no difference in my lsc settings on my 2020 select. Lbs tested as well and confirmed something was wrong, they contacted spesh and they sent out a new damper to the lbs. Apparently Sram doesn't stock the OEM lyrik select damper so I received an RC charger 2.1. Mmmm. I was eventually going...
Is specialized going to provide an extended warranty on all these motor issues? I'll be honest I'm starting to get a bit nervous owning mine when the warranty is about up
Most front fenders release really easily. I'd find one you can take on and off in a breeze for when you are transporting. The crud xl and sicomtb come to mind. Velcro or bungies release fast
I don't believe we have one of these threads yet (or it's just buried pages and pages back) so thought I'd kick it off!
Not the most exciting but I went tubeless today with Cushcores front and year.... Wow what a fiddly install those are. Threw in orange sealant. We'll see how it gets on when...
I was thinking of adding an option for "misc" but I wanted to try and keep oddball premature wear and tear items off from affecting the results but Should I add the option? I myself had a lyrik select dead on arrival on my 2020.
So far motor replacement % is a bit alarming.
I put this one on my 2020. It is threaded so a perfect swap. OEM bolts were a perfect size as well so I didnt need anything but to remove the stock 32t
eRING STEEL MTN 1X 104BCD - Praxis Works
Let's try and get some tallies here folks!
*Added field for Misc Part issues, please try and keep failures that would be considered part of normal MTB wear and tear off the list if you can.
I put only the top section of the sicomtb on. I'm not a fan of having to remove the 2020 pivot guard to fit the bottom section. At sag there's probably about a 1 inch gap. I need to figure out a good method to protecting the lower without removing the plastic guard.
Overall fitment of the rear...
Check a page back or so in this thread, I couldn't feel any difference in my lyrik so my lbs replaced the damper under warranty. Luckily I got a charger 2.1 upgrade in the process. I'm not sure if some bad lyriks went out of the factory or if the settings are just so minute its hard to tell but
