Thanks @Christian! Do you have the Thule that I pictured, or a Yakima? No concern with pulling 50 lbs on the dropper post? Or did you have it somehow configured not to be hanging from under the seat?
Does anyone know the weight of the 2020 Levo Expert? Or in lieu of that, the 2019 Levo Expert? Trying to figure out my rack situation.
Also, has anyone used a top tube adapter like the attached on an arm style bike rack with an ebike? I use one for my analog bike, but not sure it will work...
@R120 - Thanks, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I'm definitely tending to the Alu Comp. Speaking of contact points, I really don't like the Command Post dropper on the Expert, I much prefer the "lower end" XFusion on the Comp. So I'd have to deal with that on the Expert.
My...
Thanks for the feedback. As we speak, I'm going through the decision of 2020 Alu Comp versus 2020 Expert. In US$, after sales taxes, there's a $2500 difference. ($6500 vs $9000 - again, after sales taxes).
Sounds like you'd maybe say save my money?
Can you give a little more details on what...
I will post them when I get a moment. I’ll try to get to it tonight if possible. Not much upgraded at each level except the Alu Comp upgrade to the 700Wh. Suspension primarily otherwise. Note, I don’t have the Base. Only the Alu Comp, Expert, S-Works. The Comp Carbon is definitely gone.
The 2020 specs are now available to US dealers on their comuters. I have printouts of screenshots from my LBS.
And the Alu Comp does have the 700Wh battery.
Perhaps he’s been offered a great deal on a ‘19 Comp Carbon that includes an upgrade to the 700 Wh battery. But given the price of the 700Wh battery standalone, that would be quite a deal. In US prices, that would be about a 27% discount to get to the ‘20 Alu Comp price. Pretty thin money for...
If the Comp Carbon Is really gone for 2020, maybe it’s another element of raising the level of the Alu Comp. If I’m converting the 6199 Euros mentioned for the 2020 Alu Comp, that’s almost $900 more than the current Alu Comp in the US. They need more than just the 700 watt battery in the Alu...
The ~17% discount isn’t bad normally. Actually, on a Specialized probably pretty good. But the announcement on the 2020 lineup is eminent, so you could potentially get even better after the 2020 line up announcement.
Hi All,
Been riding MTB for 30+ years. Kind of by accident I demoed an eMTB recently. After not making it to the top of a long steep uphill at a demo day event on a brand new Ibis, someone cruised by on an eMTB. I went back down and said “I want to try one of those gadgets”. Back to the...
