I’m not in my 20’s my eye site isn’t as good as it was, i want the most grip and most predictable fast tire i can find. That doesn’t leave me feeling like i could hit the ground any second.
I don’t see all the small square edges anymore at speed so the smaller tires die violent lives and so do...
I’m really liking the MM 29x2.6 soft comp adix front with 27.5x2.8 Eddie they surprising leg fast on wide rims. Considerably slower on narrow wheels.
Same tires mounted on 29x30.5-32-35-36.5. Mary was considerably faster rolling on 36.5 and measures exactly 2.6 on the 36.5 rim.
Eddie was...
Also, if you look at electric motor theory and , physics. Load vs RPM determine battery draw.
Example but not 100% accurate
100rpm trail mode will use same power then boost mode at 50rpm
Do your own test. Ride 10 mile loop at 90+ rpm then do same loop at 50-60rpm.
If i have my 36 up front i use the big rear on many of my climbs here. Even in high power.
If i have to 32 up front only use it in low power or no power
Rock creek is just under 200 miles of single track and trail maintenance is critical in winter months as down trees are a big problem.
After several years of working with forest service on trail maintenance they have approved the ebike on horse only trails with proper sign and jacket for trail...
1799.00 front and rear
There 29x 36.5m
27.5x43 m
Hope4 hubs and DT Swiss spokes and nipples , locking nipples on request
Designed for the 2.8 rear eddy and 2.6 front
Not seeing good mileage from the x8,
Have had to warranty replace 2 of them now in less then a 100 miles on customers bikes.
Specially the alum large rear chain ring model.
The 8 speed just has to big of gaps and labors to shift.
I went to several state park meetings on the legalization of eMTB on the trail system and they referenced anew York city’s problems with them to a tiring point. Like a broken record.
I truly believe that if they didn’t have the ebikes to ride and several where de restricted and no one noticed...
Madman, i think the outlaw bikes the New York City messengers where using to rip through traffic at 45+mph causing several deaths and many accidents that led to ebikes being banned in New York City was a big punch to ebike hate
I ride mine unrestricted 80% of the time as I’m on OHV trails.
My max speed on our trails is 7mph faster unrestricted.
My average speed is .4 faster on a 21mile loop
I don’t see how that is ever gonna constitute a issue.
But hub drives unrestricted with 500w motor i go 17mph faster
This is...
Ego and ignorance. I have found not one person that has publicly bashed ebikes has ridden one.
2- no dirt bike advocates have mistaken a Ebike for a motorcycle.
All the Ebike hate has come from ego and ignorance. Thinking u can twist a throttle and sit on your ass and climb the steepest of...
R120, thanks for that video, so both the Fantic. And Vitus have very similar rear suspension. They both have Horst link. So there is a difference in rear chain stay pivots. One is upper the other is lower.
Lmao. My phone auto corrects vitus to virus
But i found close up and your right there very different. The Vitus has fixed lower shock pivot.
The Fantic the lower shock mount is on swing arm so it has progressive ratio.
But they both are 4 bar duel pivot. The Fantic pivots on upper chain...
Both have the lower shock pivot on the lower chain stay, not fixed to frame. At least that’s the way it looks to me in pics. I have never seen a virus here in states. Good looking bike and i like how the battery is mounted on inside of the triangle
My bars are 27mm above my seat. But my seat is about 12mm to low fully extended for optimum pedal extension. But my bike only has 120mm dropper and i feel the seat is to high in dropped position, so i have the seat set to go as low as possible.
I still want my seat 25mm or so lower if i...
I have found a mix, here in northern ca the local bike shop who didn’t have a single ebike on show room floor was 100% optimistic about servicing my ebike. They did warranty fork replacement through SRAM, then a shock few months later.
Now they have 5 spec ebikes on the floor 2yrs later...
