That chart is in Fahrenheit but I get your point. I use a snow board/ski helmet. I have uphill face gear and DH face gear depending on temp. It sounds overkill but it's the windchill like you said. I keep goggles and a neoprene facemask for DH emergencies. Sometimes it can be 9 miles dh back...
Just me and fresh mountain lion tracks....... anyway, where I live it is common to get above freezing during the day which in turn causes the thaw. You don't want any part of the thaw so I got the best light I could find and ride before the sun comes up. The bike light changed my life. Cheers...
I have what I'd call an extreme winter setup. Wolfgar boots from 45nrth and Hotronic heated insoles. It looks like the price is coming down on the boots. I use some rain/wind pants with them. Feet never get wet. Bulky? Yes. Warm.....yes. I use pedal extenders on egg beaters. For dry hands I...
The big backpack is a given. You can't even call yourself an ebiker if you don't have a big backpack. I use the camelbak hawg with a spare battery. Which of course I only use to increase dh weight for faster dh times.
A funny story about that Garmin remote. My wife and I had 17' model Levos. I would sync my Garmin to her bike. She always insisted on using eco mode. Whenever she would lag behind or a hill was coming, I'd raise her power level. She eventually figured it out that I was doing something to her...
I agree that you don't need a woman's specific bike. Just throwing this out there since most wouldn't think of this setup. My wife rides a Med Kenevo. Technically it's way overkill since she doesn't jump or do any serious dh. It has a dropper post and the frame allows the seat to go crazy low...
They come with either battery. Depends on how the bike was ordered. My 22 comp came with a 500wh. The same bike with a bigger battery was another $1000 U.S.
Agreed. Too small equals sore knees for me. The first gen levos always got XL even though I'm not extra large. Wife has 21 Kenevo and it runs a size small also. I could be wrong but I seem to remember that when you go to the bigger size bike, the wheel base is slightly longer which is what I...
I replaced the jockey wheels on that bike before I sold it. It was a 17 Levo on its third motor. That bike easily had 1 million feet/300,000 meters of climbing on it. If you zoom in on the chain you'll see crazy deep wear marks on each side. I only got those wear marks with KMC chains. Only buy...
Here's some of my winter videos on Strava. Much more fun than going to the gym. Thanks for viewing.

My record on my Levo is -5F / -20c. Bar mitts/poggies are a given. I always carry two extra things for the down hill. One is a pair of goggles in the camelbak and the other is a neoprene snow mobile face mask wrapped around the handle bars. The reason for the neoprene mask on the bars is that...
My wife is not that short but she rides a 21' medium Kenevo. The seat drops insanely low. The bike is way more capable than her abilities but I got it for comfort aspects. She can drop the seat when coming to a stop and put both feet on the ground.
My wife has a 21 kenevo that I bought for that reason. She doesn't jump or do serious dh but her ride is cush and she drops the seat when she stops for feet on the ground She also crashes a lot but I digress.....😅
You could just keep putting oil on your chain but it will turn black and then every time you load it or stop and put your leg down you'll have black marks on your leg. If you keep using dry lube without cleaning then your shift quality will go to crap or possibly get chain suck.
Yeah, the bicycle guys like to stick with the bicycle shops but the moto world is where the best value and longevity for chain lube is at. I ride ebike around 3000 miles a year. The Maxima stays put. I probably clean my chain in solvent once a month. Only minor reapplication between...
