Heads Up! OT Battery Packs on Sale 50%

Mines a 2019 medium Altitude C90 Rally. I can try to reinstall it on my lunch break and snap a picture then. The pre 2021 DHX2 had a different design for the piggyback than the 2021+ models. It was narrower and ran down the middle fitting in the groove of the battery pack.

Heads Up! OT Battery Packs on Sale 50%

That's weird. I think mine came out of a Rocky Mountain warehouse in Utah via 2 day FedEx. I did have to pay a $15 battery type fee at the time though.

Heads Up! OT Battery Packs on Sale 50%

Well crud. OT pack came in and when I went to install it my coil shock doesn't fit. Tried a bunch of ways to install it but no go. I eventually found the OT pack fitment chart buried on the website that shows which shocks work or not. Unfortunately have a 2021 DHX2 coil that was redesigned...

Here's a couple of sites to check out. They mention if a trail is Ebike friendly or not. I haven't been but Wilder looks like a good mix of trail terrain. Santa Cruz trails MTB Project - Santa Cruz trails

Hi. Yep. I've been on JNT for years now, only on my regular bike. Usually I would ride up to the top and then turn around and head back down or park at the top and do Skyline. It depends on how much time I had. I wish Gap and the surrounding trails were County so they'd be E legal. Gap was...

Calero was still nice. Trails are hard pack with loose over it. I went on an adventure and explored to the top of Bald Peak trail. The climb is a bit of a grind but once you turn around the downhill. 2 ¹/⁵ miles of twisty single track with little roots and rocks you can pop off of. I'm going to...

    spider freewheel mechanism

Mine is getting a little wobble in it. I emailed RM about buying one from them but was told I had to go through my local reseller. I did see some on ebay though. The removal doesn't look bad at all. Spider clutch bearing video

Impact of California rain on my local trail

What type of soil do you have in SBC? Up here in San Jose is mostly clay that takes forever to dry and completely jams up your bike if you try to ride through it. Sometimes you need to use a pressure washer to get it off your tires etc.

This is posted on their BLM website. It looks lie we're allowed for the time being. "Interim E-Bike Rules: The BLM is in the process of modifying regulations that currently classify electric bicycles (e-bikes) as "motorized vehicles" that are prohibited from operating on the non-motorized...

Using Garmin Edge 530 with RM Instinct C70 Dyname 3.0

I have a 2019 Altitude C90 and my Wahoo Element was able to connect and display my bike info just fine. The Roam has mapping if you need it and was a lot cheaper on Ebay too.

I left the gravel bike I usually ride to work at home and commuted the 10.5 miles on my Rocky Mountain for the first time. Just cruised in eco going 18-19mph going to work and hit trail mode coming home. It was a blast.

Went out to Santa Teresa County Park yesterday for an hour or so. Bike handled like a champ on the steep climbs and was a blast plowing down over the rocky sections.

We had a good rain here in San Jose, Ca and they usually close the trails for a few days afterwards but the ground was so dry it just ducked it all up. I can't wait for a few months when these hills will be green again.
